I just dont understand the mindset here. If you spend years rising through the ranks to become a manager at a corporation, and then a few days later, someone in the mail room got promoted to the same position as you with the same pay, you cant say you wouldnt be pissed. no matter how you apply this logic, real life or otherwise, it makes 0 sense.

This is nothing like that. If getting Allagan gear is like "spending years rising through the ranks" (I won't deny Coil is a lot of work, but playing Skinner box for a couple hours a week doesn't really qualify as "work" or "putting in the time" in my book), having Coil gear's item level raised has nothing to do with that guy in the mailroom of WP.
