Main Story now for the hardcore elite only

That bit of answers made me more confused. So for those who are in coil now, and having Extreme modes be part of the main story after TitanHM, does that mean Coil will be locked for everyone after the patch has been implemented?

Because after relic reborn quest has finished it unlocks coil, main quest story follows

Relic Reborn > chimera > hydra > ifrit > garuda > titan > 900phil item to make +1 > coil.

now its;

Relic Reborn >chimera > hydra > ifrit >garuda > titan > INSERT 2.1 PATCH > Coil

this makes no sense if my understanding of the answers was correct.

And this is the reason they are doing this. Trying to make CT relevant and forcing it on us in the process. It's not so much storyline is hard or anything else in FF14. It's that everything is so linear. You will dungeon farm, period. 90% of the content is tied to dungeons in one form or another and not just single runs for the experience. You will farm them.

It's too bad. There is so much more that could be an option.

Sure, HM Titan is a pain in the butt, no argument there.

But! It just takes practice! CM and Prae, you can roll in there and one shot it! What is the challenge in that? People, including me, do CM in crap gear just so I can spiritbond it for materia. Sadly, my spiritbond gear is better than some of the stuff people roll in there with in duty finder with me.

But, you know what, THAT'S OK! We still have fun facerolling the place and one shotting alll the bosses with first timers.

What is wrong with Titan? I mean, if you don't have terrible lag, nothing! So, you might have to make 7 friends to go with you. Duty finder and Titan is asking for trouble. People think its gonna be easy and just like, oh whatever, I'm just gonna stand here, cause stuff isn't gonna hurt! lol

There lies the real problem, making friends in this game that will learn a fight with you. OMG, you mean, I have to be nice to people? So hard! ; ; (I'm not trolling, being nice is difficult sometimes!)

By all means it isn't one of the "easiest". You are simply over-exaggerating it now to the point you speak nonsense.

He does the fight daily, so he's very used to it. Not nonsense, just lots of experience.

That said, Titan HM can be difficult for people not used to his rotations, especially in groups they're not used to running with. I am hoping that the Extreme Primal fights are tied into relic weapons in the sense that either you do them to improve your relic +1 to a +2 or they offer an alternate, harder fight for obtaining the primal key items necessary to obtain your relic.

I hope that they are NOT tied into progressing the main story. I saw someone mention pre-abyssea CoP in XI, and while I did do that, people need to remember that XIV is NOT XI and should not be as difficult. XIV is designed to be more casual-friendly than XI is/was.

I wouldn't make the mistake of assuming CT is easy just because its on the DF. The extreme modes are in the DF :P So yeah, I wouldnt expect tons of challenge, but I would expect that you need to know how the fight actually works and the mechanics and such to succeed in CT, like any other dungeon. Not "faceroll".

Gotta wonder how these people would survive in a pre-abyssea CoP storyline in XI.

umm they would beat it no matter how casual they are because combat in that game requires no twitch reaction cuz its "turtle" slow, and its easy as all hell, dont go throwing FFXI content around like it was hard, cuz it wasnt, the whole game was easy.

I think this is a misunderstanding

Extreme Primals will be part of the main storyline, just like how HM Primals are currently part of the main storyline that leads up to BCoB which also is a part of the main storyline.

Main storyline should not be confused with Main scenario which ends after Praetorium where you'll see the ending credits roll.

Time to look for another game it seems.

And your point is ? if you suck you suck, if your not good enough for end game content, then learn your JOB/CLASS or learn to play would be the problem
