Another vote here for the Logitech G600. The two things that sold me on this were the price and the side button layout. There is a slight curve on the buttons which fits your thumb nicely, and also helps you to be able to click the right button without having to look. I've heard the Naga's side buttons are flat and more difficult to get used to (a FC mate of mine used nail polish on the keys to make bumps to help out with this. lol).

I've never had a gaming mouse before, so I didn't really know what to expect going in, but I love this thing now. I have average-sized girly hands, and at first I was a little nervous that I wouldnt be able to get used to the mouse. I've only ever used standard mice, so I think no matter what brand/model I went with, this would have been an issue. Took me maybe 2-3 weeks to feel really comfortable with it in game. Up until that point, I just warned everyone that I would be casting random spells and what not, we all survived

Another plug for the logictech 600: The buttons have a programmable iridescent glow. You can literally program the colors to any color of the rainbow, and to pulsate and change over time. Not that you will spend any time looking at your mouse while you play. But it does look sexy on a clean desk

I would -not- recommend the naga epic at all, I have one and it will occasionally freeze up for about 10 seconds randomly when connected over wireless. I went through razer support and it was determined that my other wireless devices were conflicting with it, the other devices however do not have that problem. That said, the mouse works great while plugged in so if you're looking for an MMO mouse with the 12 side buttons I would recommend you go with the wired logitech/razer version. If you're not planning to get an MMO mouse I would simply recommend one of the wireless logitech laser mice which normally have 3-6 side buttons and do not freeze up while on the wireless mode.

That's odd because I've tried out most of the preferred gaming mice on the market and they tended to be small to me.

What other wireless mice have you used?

Do keep in mind that not all wireless is the same. There's a limited set of frequencies that consumer wireless devices use. Your other devices are probably running at different frequencies or the devices themselves are not as sensitive to latency from interference.

FWIW, the G600 has changed the way I play MMOs. So yes... gaming mice and keyboards are more important than you might think. In reality they are one of the most important pieces of your rig, as they are how you connect to the game your playing.

We still do christmas lists in my family as well. It's nice to be able to buy things you know that they want/need. Maybe the mouse isn't a huge priorty for them ATM.

With that said, if you do end up buying it yourself, just check the random websites for sales. I managed to snag the white G600 for $40 from newegg. I was so excited!

Razer Naga was the best investment I've put forth for gaming in a long time. Takes some getting used to the buttons but once you do it's all muscle memory and you'll barely use your keyboard anymore.
