Last night joined a Titan group to help out, lots of Relics and +1s...thought it would be easy.
Spent almost the entire Phase 5 solo-healing 4-2 DPS (they just kept getting hit by bombs and plumes and then dying to the next stomp...the 5th DPS and other heal died soon after the Heart) and the tank, eventually losing at ~10-15% HP to a jail on me...then had to do this twice more to lesser success (mostly my fault, was incredibly straining on me)
Then, a few wipes later, right after the Phase 3 jump I cast Medica 2 like normal. Titan aggros me. Tank couldn't grab aggro back with provoke or aggro combos (and this was a good 30-45 seconds of me running around not casting anything) and we wiped. Still have no idea what happened there, and I did/do the same thing all other attempts no issues (we eventually won after replacing some DPS and adding a third heal to make up for the other)

They probably all had bought their original Titan runs.. and jumped off a cliff. One more reason that is so annoying - they dont learn how to do it.

When almost your entire party gets killed at ADS after lvl 3 healer limit breaker and you have to cleric stance Dps down ADS from 8% with no tanks alive and only 1 other DD.
Moral of this story? Expect the unexpected and healers(Scholars) be prepared to get your hands dirty if you have to in order to survive. Thank you Cleric Stance!

While farming Satasha for green drops on a newer character, I had my first encounter with a Lightning-geared tank. My robes had a higher defense and magic defense value than the tank's clothes. I can appreciate that the costume looks nice, but seriously... please don't wear it into a dungeon. The tank ended up dying to the Coeurl, the very first boss. I laughed so hard when they got three-shot that I just posted ROFL in party chat and then left. There was no hope for the rest of the run.
I'm gonna have to make a video and upload it to youtube, because some of my stories seem too farfetched for the luck some people have :3
Definitely possible. And yeah, selling Titan runs ticks me off to no end. I fought tooth an nail for my first kill, and while I will help others get their wins (doesn't "help" that I like showing Titan his place after all the losses he's given me)...I'm not there to carry them. They still need to pull their own weight; all my friends who get to Titan I have go into the DF to learn the fight, and when they join us for real they better know what happens and how to dodge (AKA, not dying til at least part-way through Phase 5; even I derp and jump off the cliff trying to dodge occasionally).

I've had people who have no idea what emnity is and then get mad at me when they run off, get themselves attacked, and die, wondering why they died... because you made my job to difficult! I'm lucky that my RL friends are really good at keeping me safe so I can heal them. The people in Balmung seem to know what they're doing, but there were many times while on Cactuar that I had to take the time to explain the dynamics of emnity to dps characters and so on. Don't mean any disrespect to Cactuar. (it's a fine server) Now getting into higher levels, people know what they're doing.![]()
Yesterday, in Aurum Vale: First run, with a good tank, BLM and an arcanist pulling everything he can alone because he wanted a chest in the first room. Since Tank and BLM didn't want the chest, but clear the dungeon fast, he dies a lot and eventually leaves the dungeon. Tank was in a hurry so he engages the first boss with the 3 of us(which was a pain, cos a BRD came in 10 seconds after. I had only tried the boss once, with an horrible tank(that I previoulsy encountered in DF in Dzemael, we couldnt clear it because he was unable to keep aggro), but was a mess, and tank had left.
Anyway, with the 3 of us, DPS is not enough and i run OOM. We try again with the BRD, and at 75% of the boss life...my PC crashes. Get the penalty and have to wait 15mn.
New PT with a tank that knows aurum vale rly well, he explains the strat, and we begin first boss. Wow, intense healing, I can't manage to heal everybody and we wipe.
We are about to try again, when the tank asks me: "Hey, isn't your shirt the Imperial shirt?" Me: "No, that's a lv40 shirt." Another guy: "That's not what I see...Are you sure?" I check, and..."WTF? You're right!"
Had forgotten to take out the imperial shirt and helmet after the quest. We defeat the boss and clear the dungeon(with one wipe over each boss, but hey, first run for 3 of us). Luckily, all of this PT's members were really cool and pretty good players, so we laughed about this.
