From a design point of view, it'd make sense to reward the best gear from actually killing stuff in Coil as opposed to just farm a lot of lesser content for a very long time. But, given the extreme variance on loot drops in Coil, I don't think that's a good idea. That'd be fine if Coil dropped tokens, or even tokens with some volatility (like say melee DPS token versus ranged DPS token, or certain slot tokens are rare) but I just don't see it adding anything if you could beat this stuff but still need to beat the very long odds of actually getting your class loot to drop in Coil to get the best stuff.
