Nevermind myth tomes, do you know how many philo tomes it takes to full gear out WAR, PLD, WHM, BLM, and DRG with DL and relics?

Yes as a matter of fact I do. 4 full sets of Darklight + 5 Relics = 4 * 5010 + 5 * 900 = 24,540 philos = 246 WP runs = 41 hours at 10mins/run.

As a personal note I find that doing the same dungeon over and over again stops feeling like content by the 20th clear or so, but whatever makes you happy.

Spare me. Whether it takes 10 minutes or 45, this game has very little end game content. Remember when he said:
"For ARR, the level cap is going to be level 50 to start the game. We don't want players to have to spend a lot of time getting to level 50. The reason behind this is that we believe the game up to level 50 is basically your tutorial. The real game begins from level 50. We have the real challenges begin there. We have a lot of end content that we've already prepared to be ready at the launch of the game."

Even switching to killing all the mobs instead of boss gating some of them you're only going to add a couple minutes to the run. WP is just an extremely short dungeon design-wise and accordingly it isn't a heck of a lot of content. It wasn't even designed to be farmed heavily for tomes but they had to buff its yields to alleviate the AK fatigue everyone was suffering.

So you don't like playing dungeons again because there isn't a WoW-achievement for finishing off a boss a cetain way. But this is counter to your mantra of doing stuff that only gets you myth.

Too bad you're gonna hemorrhage gil for gear when it comes out. If only you had a crafter....



And yet I can use the same gear on the monk as the archer. I'm not starting from scratch. You think Rift dungeons were good, they were TERRIBLE. You don't have to fate grind to level alts. Fate-gridning doesn't get you gear. So you fate-grind 20 levels-only to realize you don't have any gear, so you have to buy gear from those crafters again. I'm personally making a lot off these people.

I have a few million gil from selling Titan and you can practically level alts completely naked in FATES.

And this is the part that really makes me laugh, because if there's one group who nobody cares about their opinions, it's the 'progression raiders!' Games shouldn't be made with them in mind, because they are for the most part a fickle and angry group, apt to jump ship and unsub at any moment, who skip most of your hard work and piss on the rest of your content as being 'boring.' Anything that doesn't 'progress' them along a very narrow definition? 'Boring.'

The point you are missing though is this game was designed to appeal to the "progression raider". Those who like to zoom to the "endgame" and spam raids.

So not only does this game "care" about their opinions. They constructed their whole game in such a way as to accommodate them. And still they can't make them happy. And the reason for this is because the " race to the endgame and raid" model is flawed and a recepi for boredom anyway you cook it.

10 mins is far from an average run. More like 30. An average speed run is probably about 20 min. So you're looking at 120 hrs average if you were to run WP non-stop from the time you log in to the time you log out. Nobody does that. So if you're spending a little less than half your time doing WP runs, that's roughly 300 hrs of solid game time, and that's not counting leveling and story missions. Compare that with an average offline rpg. There's plenty to do in this game.
