what percent of your HP cured is 1 HP? ... how about 30HP? ... assuming you're curing for about 300 (in ilv50) than 30 MND, or 30HP is +10%. I'm not saying it is a direct % potency increase, but it is easier to understand numbers in that form.

Cure 1's dont do 300 ilvl 50. If i remember correctly they would do about 700ish. so 30 mind would be more on the 4-5%. Not a huge disadvantage gearing up will be something you want to focus on.
I'm the same as you, primary smn/secondary sch. I heal speed runs just fine with my crappy i60 gear and base relic, and I’m fine in t1 as well (haven’t needed to t2 with my sch but I venture that I could manage there as well). So, to answer your question, it’s not ideal but it’s really not going to hinder you too badly. I’d probably say around 3-5% less, based on some comparisons I did against my fc sch (who’s obviously way more geared than I am).
That said, I’m actually doing what you were thinking about and leveling up a whm. Although that decision was made mostly because I just want to have both healers for flexibility and because I have all the cross-class abilities already (also the reason why I’m leveling up a pld).

Don't forget that your fairy's stats are also affected by yours. So if you have 30 less mind than another similarly geared sch, your fairy will also heal less than theirs. Those 30 mind points matter A LOT to sch's.
I hope this isn't considered off topic, but is the % of damage lost as a summoner that mains sch with 30 mind about the same or are they affected less negatively
OK! Finally someone is talking about these points.
Tbh, My specs for my SCH/SMN were 15 int/ 15 mind. (both classes are lvl 50 Full DL. [and my sch has 4 i90 pieces])
So I would heal around 900+ Physick and 600+ Adlo (roughly speaking give or take 15-30)
Since I decided that SCH would be my main, after doing coil a bit I realized that I should just give up on one because splitting the points was just gimping both classes. So I used the 10k seal item to reallocate.
I went 30 mind and went in a few dungeons just to find out that I was STILL healing for the same amount on both times. I compared the heals from the run with 15/15 int and mind to 30 mind and I really could not find a difference. I am starting to think there may be a soft cap in the points...
Someone PLEASE verify this or if anyone would like to help me test this. It's been driving me crazy!
> _ < Been spending seal points reallocating to find answers.

I know that all "secondary stats" are tiered. (accuracy, Crit rate, parry, block)
range x > y = x% no matter where in the range.
I don't *believe* the same is true for Defense / Attack / Magic Attack / Healing Power (affected by Str/Dex/Int/Mnd respectively)
Not off topic, just reverse arguement of the OPs, and no less an issue. Ultimately it depends on how frequently you play each job, as both take a mild hit from picking a specific stat. Fortunately it is not incredibly detrimental at this stage of the game, though eventually that will become more and more pronounced.
I am a SCH so I'm a little biased, but I personally believe you get more out of the MND than you do the INT. This is because as an ACN, both jobs have inherently higher INT and receive INT bonus traits. Sure, you can pump that INT up even higher, but your MND then sits much weaker by comparison. It is also good to note that SMN still gets Physick, so emergency cures as SMN for whatever reason still have some mild potency from MND. SCH on the otherhand, gets absolutely 0 benefit from INT boosts.
Cleric Stance is the key point of SCH DPS as all SCH gear gives significant points of MND and no INT. All that MND gets swapped into INT during Cleric Stance, allowing SCHs to land significant DoTs, even though they spec in MND. Then in the event of an unexpected HP drop, they can drop the stance and land some higher Physics bringing people back up.
If you are still really unsure, just go 15/15. It is an even balance of both worlds and an even more miniscule drop in potency from either job.

Last time i checked, you got 30 bonus points to allocate, PER JOB/CLASS not per character.
Meaning, you can have int on your smn and mnd on your whm without having to sacrifice one for the other.
As for the value of mnd to a whm, I have to agree that the 30 bonus mnd is not that important in the long run. I currently run 30 vit for turn 5 coil survivability and have no problem healing through the first 4 turns. However, I am almost completely covered in ilvl 90 gear. Having tha allagan tunic, gloves, belt and necklace as well as AF+1 legs feet and relic+1, and a heros ring, i can honestly afford to lose 30 mind.
