Crafting class progression seems tedious and sluggish

i level crafts and I do not spam standered. infact most times I fail doung so.... and these are on crafts lower rank then me. There is meaning in crafting. I'm slowly figuring it out but for the most part I found after the first selection process aka standere is a hit more miss I select a type baseed on what the light orb looks like. Like if it white flickering i do rapid syth and depanding on my rank i get a suceed. For yellow I tend to do bold. And i get that to suceed. I rarely if ever use standered. I've tried just spamming standdred and seeing what happens I tend to have an element go unstable. If I do not spam 1 type that never happens.

Im 34+ in 7 crafting jobs all spamming standard while watching movies or T.V show seasons.
