My experience soloing CM's boss last night

I see you two miss the irony. A guy telling people to skip cutscenes so he can get the fastest run possible could not get in the bossroom fast enough, and all he could do was watch the fight like it was a cutscene. Do unto others as you want done onto yourself. I made friends with the AF Monk after, but he was from a different server, so it was not meant to be!

So you solo'd the first phase where the boss deals literally 50 damage per hit?

I see you are a Gladiator! Unfortunately you would be unable to beat the encounter. The real bossfight here is/was the Adds. I believe only Monk/Bard/Warrior have the ability to. DPS is the key. Keep in mind even though the boss itself does low damage, he can interrupt casts and does so consistently, and the real damage comes from the adds. There will be about 6 adds on you, and if you can't burn them out quick enough, you'll have all 6 trying to kill you at once. I was only able to survive because I could DPS the adds as they were fighting the cannons so I only had to deal with 3, in combination with the boss. It was challenging, I was at 1% HP multiple times throughout the fight and I almost died on more than one occasion. (P.S: There were so many adds eventually that I had to pop LB 3 times total to cut them down or else I would have died)

I don't mind people watching cutscenes but I don't want a 5 minute fight become a 15 minute fight either. Seriously what was the point of it?

the fact that people are still speed running cm is disturbing...

and the fact that people are too impatient to let people let someone watch a short cinematic is alarming. are you seriously going to die if you lose a few a few minutes because someone wanted to follow the plot in sequence rather than post-ex-facto?

but nice job soloing that. i think i could do that on bard...maybe? might be able to do it on paladin too, but that is a long-shot. (i would have to take it one add at a time too. stoneskin OP)

All i can say is 2 wrongs do not make a right, the tank was in the wrong for badmouthing the CS watcher aka newbie who wanted to enjoy the game instead of SRing the place, and the OP was in the wrong dragging out a fight just to pay back the tank. and on a side note, why SR castrum anyways? WP is soooooo much faster, and gives myth tomes too, which is the real deal for your relic and myth gear.

Pretty disturbing i must say.
Didn't they promised they would take care to suppress any form of abuse speedrunning/rushing a dungeon with a fix?

I avoid CM like the plague for this reason. Makes me wonder/fear how bad duty finder Crystal Tower is going to be. 8 people can rarely get along.... 24 is going to be bad!

I get the feeling a lot of people are gonna only go with FC mates or something into CT.
