This is just a troll thread. Everyone knows what happens if there is no maintenance. Why do people keep responding seriously?

Yes I do. End of discussion, thanks.Do you really think there is going to be a slow down in maintenance?
Yes they do, read the patch notes properly. Most of these maintenance's don't even appear to be solving any real issues.
Um, In November alone they've had NA downtime on: 11/1, 11/4, 11/7, 11/8, 11/11, 11/15, 11/18
There has been patch notes for only one of those, and that was 11/18. I'm not sure what other secret patch notes you have access to.
Well maybe not ALL of them due to some of it being server maintenance, but at least two of those have patch notes that I can think of off the top of my head. I've leave it up to you to find them though (hint: the Market Board fix).
If they don't have explicit patch notes then it's general server maintenance, and as much as some of us would like to think it, the finer details of what they do to code or infrastructure at the server level isn't required knowledge, and nor should it be in the public domain. This has been covered in one of Yoshi's letters, I suggest you find it and read it.
Anyway, how has this thread gone from:
- "Maintenance has been at an inconvenient time for me personally, I'm quitting."
To:
- "Herpen Derp. SE aren't actually doing anything useful during maintenance."
Also, if you're complaining about the timing, there is plenty of notice given when you log into the game (in the order of days) so you're able to plan around it. There's no excuse for "not expecting maintenance" when it's very clearly posted for all to see.

Read my post above ^ Find the letter from Yoshi about server maintenance, read it. Apart from that, yeah, all the changes that actually impact how we play are noted for us.
Not at least two, just two. Only two. Two of Seven in fact, and only one was patch notes the other was an emergency maintenance to fix the hack; And that's just the previous 20 days. I'm not sure what you are *leaving* up to me, i already gave you the data.Well maybe not ALL of them due to some of it being server maintenance, but at least two of those have patch notes that I can think of off the top of my head. I've leave it up to you to find them though (hint: the Market Board fix).

It ties in because people are upset and confused as to why there needs to be any kind of maintenance every two days. When SE gives us almost no information, we can only speculate that they could probably roll those into a standard weekly maintenance like almost every other MMO on the market.
I noticed you *chopepd* out the bit about the letter from Yoshi addressing exactly what you're talking about. It ties in because people are upset and confused as to why there needs to be any kind of maintenance every two days. When SE gives us almost no information, we can only speculate that they could probably roll those into a standard weekly maintenance like almost every other MMO on the market.
Hard to comprehend I know but SE doesn't use the "standard" way of doing maintenance. I know you don't want to trust me but from playing XI for a number of years, the system will swing heavily in our favor. When SE gives us almost no information, we can only speculate that they could probably roll those into a standard weekly maintenance like almost every other MMO on the market.
I'm sorry to be the one to tell you, but you seriously fail at reading comprehension. You've failed to understand the issue of this entire thread with every post you've made.
Scheduling a maintenance every two days, even planned, does not help those people who can only play this game a couple of times a week. If that play time falls during one of the many weekly maintenance's then they have every right to be upset that they can't play a game they are paying for.
