...Actually most companies do have that budget whether it is their on money or investors money. Most modern games hover around the 50 -100 million mark but it's also usually a major title they produce, not some offshoot title that may or may not make them money.
50-100 million is not what Blizzard has put into WoW in grand total. I'd have an estimate that it's much much larger than that. Think about their huge advertisement campaign. The fact that they brought celebrities on to support their games. The various expansions. The game itself. All the content updates. For well over 9 years. To give you an idea. In the first four years between patches, advertisement, etc. It cost Blizzard 200,000,000 dollars. This doesn't include the development cost of WoW initially or it's expansion BC. That was it's first four years. Each expansion got bigger adding more things. They made numerous upgrades to the servers as well as building things like the DF etc.

Don't forget, this also isn't a new game entirely.
Half the 4 mans (or a few less, whatever) are recycled from 1.0. Even Ifrit HM.
The leveling experience is a mockup with fates.
Maybe, all that considered, wow had the same, slightly less, or slightly more content. The difference is they were setting a trend (the first real mainstream mmo), other companies trying to be, to some degree, like wow, have to have a draw large enough to retain players while they add more.
While the story is good, and a lot of work went into CM and Prae, perhaps they should have focused on what players would actually be doing than hammering out two absurdly easy "raids". You could, very likely, do CM and Prae in all lvl40 white armor if people knew how to dodge well.
Shield Lob (Can change red text to Tomahawk and it will work perfectly Warriors)
/macroicon "Shield Lob"
/ac "Shield Lob" <t>
/marking attack1 <t>
Better "macro switching", give it a read: http://tinyurl.com/ffxivhotbars

nope. bought the 90 days, haven't touched the game in 65 days (free 1st month w/ CE and then purchased 90days). 45 days left in subscription... and 2.1 nowhere in sight.
Yes. Why wouldn't I ?
Yep! Yep! home at last.
