I love the game, but... Titan

UPDATE: Titan down for me. /thread I guess. I finally found a group to work with and burned it down after 10 tries and 1 reform.

I have to say I am mighty bored not being able to do anything else because I am stuck on Titan. I have joined so many groups over the last few weeks and the closest I have gotten is 10%--one time.

Premades, pugs, peanut butter... and nope. Titan never goes down. Is it a lag issue? I didn't have problems until last week when once, I was knocked off of the stage by a landslide that spawned 30 yards away from me (and I noticed that my spells would hit five seconds after they were cast). That could have been an internet issue for me. Not sure.

But people just can't do Titan. I am all for Titan as it is given to us currently. I am not happy that I can't do anything else because I don't have my +1, and there isn't much else to do besides farm WP/AK for the millionth time.

I don't want to level another character yet. This one isn't even done and I don't want to see all of the same stuff over again for a while.
I don't want to level a profession yet.

I have tried to find groups. Nope. The closest I get are elitist types who stand in fire because they are +1 and will frankly state they don't care because they "can take the hit." Once people are done with Titan, they seem to be done with it. So... that leaves a mass of people who aren't done with it, and everyone else farming Turn X.

Like I said, I am not asking you to change Titan. Heck, make it harder (I mean "harder"), but why do I have to be stuck in my progression this badly while I wait for--or pay for--a group to get it down?

Yes, I have made mistakes, like in the first 20 times I played it. But as one of the people consistently last alive, I can state I have not been the issue. So I request that either I get a super-mega-megamega-holy to kill him with when I am last man standing, or offer me some more content I can play while I wait to find my knights in shining armor who can valiantly defeat this "difficult" foe.

Some people might not agree with me but if you're spending that much time on Titan and you can't beat it, you might as well buy a run and get it over with. If you make this amount of money in less time than your attempt to beat Titan, in a way, you're saving time which is also saving money even if you buy Titan.

Mighty tempted. I could do some upper 40 runs, convert materia, make a few hundred k, and just buy my kill. But when does it stop? Turn 1? Turn 2? Crystal Tower?

When does what stop? I can completely understand that some people can't do Titan cause of delays and having a almost perfect team to completely dodge almost all skills but that's where it ends honestly. Coil can be done with practice and isn't as annoying as Titan, especially since people have to do it every week. Crystal Tower isn't out yet so I can't say much but it is duty finder'd and you have 23 other people helping you out.

Coil isnt mandatory (i mean, you dont need to beat coil to get your relic) and CT gonna be easier.
I dont suggest to buy the Titan run, but if you really are that desperate... i understand your frustration.

However, what if you level a second job? Are you going to buy a Titan run everytime you need a relic?
What if a friend needs your help? You buy him the run too?

Your best bet is to find a group of people and work with them, that will help you not just getting your relic but being able to take on any content later in the game.

edit. Shout in Mordhona and look for people that is having your same troubles with Titan, and form a Linkshell dedicated to learning the fight. Hire a couple of expert players if possible (dont pay them lol).
It might take a few days but once you beat it you will be a true hero, much better than the "mercenaries" you wanted to hire.

This is probably your best bet: find a static group of people to run with and continue to work on it with them. A static group that can practice on it will have a better time beating it than a random group who aren't used to each other. Once you beat Titan that first time, you'll feel he gets easier since you and your team are more used to the mechanics of the fight, which will make it much easier for you all when it comes time to work on other relics.

That was kinda my point in "when does it stop." Totally get ya. I have been trying to find players. I reply to the premades all the time. "I need to see your gear, bro." And that's the dude that eats plumes, DESPITE ME, the healer, marking bombs and spamming a <se.1 PLUMES!!!> macro. Grrr.

I couldn't care less about the stupid staff. Everyone else does. Then again, the stats are 2x that of my garuda weapon, so that might prove an issue.

Well, if you ever decide to move to Excalibur for whatever reason, I will try and help you out with this fight, and no, I will obviously not charge you for it, just good ol fashion helping people out that deserves it. But yeah, can't do much cross server

You do have to beat Titan to unlock Coil, but you won't need your +1 for the first couple turns at least. So that's 900 myth you could be spending on something else As others have stated, your best bet is to find a few people on your server who are also having trouble with him and just practice until you get it with the same group. Maybe even make a temporary (or permanent) LS so it's easier to organize runs. May even end up going to Coil with them.
