Yep what company are these you speak of? Some games do maintenance every day, at the same time. I have never seen a mmo company state that we are going to rotate when we take the server down, so that people on different time zones dont get upset. I havent played for more then a week now, and I am eastern. But find something else to do when its down lol. I thought todays patch said 11am-2am, I am not gonna quit because of it. In fact i dont think i ever heard some one quit because of them fixing the game lol. Just goes to show you, cant please every one lol. I still cant believe you got butt hurt and took it personal, like these guys were like yep we are just gonna mess with YOU, cause we dont like you. It should be brought down when the least amount of people are on, its that simple.

Your words say one thing but your actions say another. You claim to loooooove the game SO MUCH yet 20ish days a month is not worth your money, would you rather them not maintain the servers and just let them implode under the constantly building stress and bogged down by errors left and right? Would this make your newly gained 20-40 hours of laggy, buggy, crashing gameplay SO much better?

I mean come on, don't sit here and pretend to be loyal while at the same time casting off on a lifeboat because the room service was not to your liking, it just makes you look worst.

I think the reason OP quits is just stupid. You can't play the game 30 days a month? Me neither man, I can barely play every other day. But if you say you like the game, then you shouldn't be quitting for this reason.

Been playing these games since 2002, this is the worst experience so far... most companies that do "every 2 days" nonsense actually have the decency to rotate the maintenance because they don't want to screw the same people over and over.. Square doesn't seem to mind though? Oceanic? hah! who cares... give us your Euros.

Like I said, love the game and very proud of Yoshi and Co's work.. But this is a huge deal breaker for many people, all of you unaffected fail to grasp this.

I highly doubt this, by far this is the smoothest launching MMO ive played from launch and Ive launched WAY MORE than I care to admit. But every paid/most ftp mmo since 1999 I have played since launch and this is by far the smoothest. Im curious what games you launched

I'd understand if we weren't paying monthly but the fact we are, given OPs situation i can understand the frustration.
Unless it's something major, why can't the just do a weekly single hot-fix? Maybe they should look into their time management.
Given all the other reason people have to quit, this is just the icing on the cake for quite a few people.

Clearly you are new to MMO's. What I think is funny is EVERRRRRRRRRRRRYBODDDDDDDYYYY always forgets how other MMO launches were. Like they seem to think that every other mmo but FFXIV ARR was silky smooth for the first year with hardly no maintenance. Guess what?? WRRRRRRRRRRRRONNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGG! Clearly you didn't experience WoW's launch, or EQ's launch or FFXI's launch or Rift's launch or SWOTR's launch... do I really need to keep listing them? THey were all just as bad IF NOT WORSE than this one's launch.

At least compare apples to apples instead of comparing apples to coffee.....

It would be nice if they could rotate the maintenance times. Normally it wouldn't be an issue if it was like once a week but this is every other day sometimes every day. You can't blame the guy for not wanting to pay for a product he can't use no matter how good it might be.
