Isn't China's servers independant of ours? maybe this is for their servers and not ours.

Nope, they're talking about the international version (to which that site is mainly dedicated, at the moment, it even has a guide on how to play on the international version), besides, the PS3 isn't sold in China, and FFXIV has not been officially released in China as well yet.
Before Christmas 2011 would be a more reasonable estimate if they want to have a chance of sucessfully attracting people to the game. And that would have to be with an announcement of an expansion that will give the game a massive overhaul.
Crysta was used before XIV's existence >.>

"Their" FFXIV doesn't exist yet (it hasn't been launched, and has no set release or even beta date). At the moment that site is dedicated to the international version of the game.
Again, not saying it's true, but I wouldn't dismiss it just because of the nationality of the site.
If they were so disreputable, they wouldn't have gotten an interview with Yoshida. I know quite a few well sized western sites that still didn't pull that off.
