Thanks for the help! I'm glad to see that I can target only enemies as well as scroll targeting. This is going to make larger battles so much easier. Also, one more quick question.

When I'm at a high enough level to start leveling as a black smith or armorer what do I need to do? Aside from joining the proper guild to do so all I would need to do is equip a tool of that trade, buy materials to smith a certain item and equip clothing that helps with the job?

If you want to dabble in tradecraft, you should start with CRP, WVR, CUL or GSM. Levelling CRP, WVR and CUL will benefit your crafting overall, when it comes time to level other crafting classes as the skills they give are quite indispensable for high level crafting. GSM and WVR both give you a source of income, and GSM allows you to craft accessories for your class, which are arguably much harder items to obtain from dungeon runs (the only dungeons I know that drop useful accessories are Brayflox's Longstop [Level 32], Cutter's Cry [Level 38], Aurum Vale [Level 47], and Amdapor Keep [Level 50]). CUL also allows you to craft food - if you're a high enough level CUL by the time you get to end-game, you could be a boon for your end-game raid party, as people use food for Binding Coil of Bahamut. Shards for all crafting classes can be costly however, especially if you can't buy in bulk, as it seems they only sell them in the Marketboards in 500's or 1000's.

Running dungeons regularly will keep you sufficiently geared, and as a tank you should have little to no problems getting into a dungeon party. If you choose the FATE grind method, you can spend the seals for Grand Company gear from time to time.
