The short form for tomestones is tomes not tombs

Since we are educating people, I love it when I see people say "que" when its actually "Queue". The the former is not a word at all and the latter is the actual word used to mean "take your place in a line".

And another of my favorites is when people misuse the internet shorthand, ie: plz PST me. PST = "PLEASE" send tell... sounds like someone is begging "please please send me a tell."

Makes me laugh every time I see that.

Tome and tomb are both (basically) pronounced the same way. Tombstone is a word outside of this game, tomestone is not (as someone earlier pointed out). I can easily see why people go with tomb if not reading carefully (our mind does kind of "autocorrect for us a lot). Really not that big of a deal to me.

I know the correct spelling is Tomestone but I keep thinking Tombstone anyway.

I never got why they called them tomestones. Are we seriously carrying around large books made out of stones? At least a tombstone can be small.



Anyway, I never knew why certain silly things irritate people. Why is this a problem? Will it just completely ruin your day if you see someone shouting for tombstones?

Do you think you are doing a good deed in explaining to everyone they are wrong? Some already know how it's spelled but don't really give a flying finger. And did you know must people are really evil? If they are on the same server as you and know this irritates you, they will screw around with you. Some might even create a new character on your server just for the lulz... I mean laughs. Sorry.

Not sure I agree calling tomestones tomes for short. Hockey players aren't hockeys, paper clips aren't papers. They're players and clips, tomestones should be stones.
