I don't really understand all these high level players getting angry at the low level players for expressing their frustration with the level requirements of this event, but really, if to tweak down the level of the quest is seen as a PUNISHMENT to the high level players (unless by 'punishment' they meant to know that everyone can get the items they can...), there are easy tweaks that could be done that would make everyone happy.

1: Leave the quest content the same, but make the minimum level requirement to flag/turn in the quest Level 1. This way, lower level players can at least get their costumes by braving the events with the company of higher level players. It's leeching, I know, but in this thread it seems the idea of lower level events causes only flaming posts.

2: Make the event not limited. I'm not saying it should stay up forever, but have it repeat every year like the other seasonal events. That way, who won't be lv45 by february can still hope to get the gear in 2015. I'd prefer to have to wait another year rather than burn through all the quests and storyline on which I wanted to take my time on.

Option #2 is the one I'm really putting all my hopes on, cause I really do not think I can make it for February with the pace I play at. Not to mention all the new players that will be upset to miss forever this event should they subscribe too late to the game. Please Devs, give us some hope.

Hmm.. anybody who has yet to reach level 45 at this point, should certainly be able to reach level 50 by February when the event happens again. So what if you miss out a bit now? You already know you'll get another shot at it, and it's not like the items in question are even useful outside of a whooping two levels. Everyone still has to wait until the vanity system gets implemented before than can utilize the weapon's/armor's appearance. And you don't even have to be high level to obtain all the weapons anyway.

It takes roughly a month or so to hit level 50 the first time by questing, and even less if you just FATE grind. That's with having a job and other commitments. Unless of course you rarely have time to play at all (but then I'd question why you'd even bother with an MMORPG, but that's just me), leveling in this game is pretty simple and easy.

I felt like I didn't rush my way though the game with my first class/job, and did all the story and side quests I saw and it only took roughly a month to hit level 50. Of course, the game really just starts once you hit level 50, as there's even more to do at that point, at least initially, and it's all a bit time consuming. That aside, it's definitely the first MMORPG that I've played where I leveled to the cap that quickly, just by playing it normally. I hate comparing things to WoW, but honestly it actually took me longer to hit the level cap in WoW (granted I played after Cataclysm had launched and the level cap was already fairly high at that point). It used to be that playing most MMORPGs normally (with exception of FFXI, which took way, way longer) for me would take an average of around 3 months to reach the max level and completed the storyline, which I felt was a decent amount of time having played the game to reach that point.

My point is basically, that it does not take very long to level in this game unless you are intentionally not really even trying to do things that give you experience. Now, I understand somewhat if you decided to focus on only crafting and gathering classes and haven't really leveled any battle classes. Of course, if you are a person that has done that then you've been missing out on a lot of content (like the game's story, dungeons, FATEs, class/job stories, sidequests, actual combat... you know about 80% of the game). Personally, I don't understand that particular course of action, but that's me and I know there are some people that have done just that. And while I suppose it might be moderately interesting if there was some kind of event for crafters and gatherers, there isn't. I mean, look at your actual "story" quests, go gather/craft x amount of [insert item] and bring it back to me. Okay, good job! *pat on back*.

    TL;DR: Level up.

I'm not sure how much of my post you did read, but I'd rather to not complete the storyline and quests in a month. I don't look for stats in this game, I enjoy the story and lore, I don't even spam dungeons for gear, so even the weapons' "usefulness" doesn't count to me. I have been around the game since Beta, and until this event came out, I didn't go past Toto-rak in terms of storyline. That is my pace. I don't condemn the others for not doing like me, so I'd appreciate if others returned the same respect. All that aside, this doesn't fix the issue for those that will be just too new to make it in time the next event is up. I really don't see how hard it would be to make this event repeat yearly.

I don't make my alts to powerlevel to 50; they're for relaxing leveling time with my fiance or a friend or just by myself when I feel like it. It's extremely frustrating that they're all going to be stuck with only partial costumes because Squee couldn't just put the items on the vendor to be purchased with tokens you get from fates.
