Launch is a launch regardless on how old a MMO is. If we are comparing what happened to both MMO's at launch, it's totally okay to do so.

If you we're trying to compare FFXIV ARR to 11 years worth of content (FFXI or WoW)... then I be scratching my head.
This game was at 1.5mil just a few weeks ago... 600k and diving.
