[dev1081] achievements - opting out

To be honest, I didn't know we already had an achievement-type system until I read this thread. I like it how it is - unobtrusive and completely optional. Something easy to be completely oblivious to, but easy to say "oh, that's cool" if you stumble upon it.

Oh really? Cause its currently bordering along the whole "why have it" premise.

My earlier statement still applies. If you don't like achievements, turn off the notification and stfu.

Yarly. I couldn't care less about achievements, but they don't -bother- me. As I said, I stumbled on them, said that's nifty and went on my merry way.

If we *need* to be all crazy leet, I'd MUCH rather have titles. To me, back in the day when Vrtra was a big deal, my Vrtra Vanquisher title meant a hell of a lot more to me than a random *bloop bloop* xbox popup saying I got X amount of kills or headshots or grenade sticks etc.

All in all, it boils down to some people needing to be coddled to, and some people not giving a crap.
