wait wait wait, let me get this straight, you can go from 1-50 in lesss than a week in ff14, and you call this "grindy"? Why don't you go hit up some other MMO's that take 1-2 months to hit max level. Quit your bitchin.

Couldn't agree with you more.
Thats how this game was originally in 1.0 it took at least a month or two to level a job to 50. They have made this game WAY to easy to level up in now.
Yes this game is grindy depending on the person. Having to travel from horizon to waking sands 35 billion times makes this grindy, cause it's boring. Why would they not put it next to a hub? Having to spam stone on every single quest that's not a right clicking quest without fear for death while leveling my healer is grind.
Did you guys play gw2? You can level using so many different ways, there leveling was fun and outside crafting, most methods took the same amount of time roughly.
I just told my brother to buy the game cause i was getting bored, he played the healer up to level 15 and deleted the game saying it's the most boring game he's ever played. yeah unskippable cutscenes that you have to 30 click your way through dialog doesnt help either. I almost missed a duty because of one of these 50 second cutscenes.
not to mention i couldnt talk to my brother in the dungeon privately.. great design in various spots for sure.
Are you forgetting you could power level in 1.0 as evidenced by Legacy players with all jobs capped out at 50. Levelling additional jobs in this game feels just like that... A job. With the lack of repeatable quests you're forced to chase FATEs around a zone to maximise your levelling potential or run Dungeons till your eyes bleed for a considerably inferior exp reward.
