You already lost this battle. This game will never have horizontal grown. If they'll not nerf content itself, new content will just make old obsolete. It's stated everywhere, and it's coming. Nothing more to say.
Also, i cannot imagine horizontal grown with a linera gear progression. That kind of grown work if we could use a shitons of situational gear, and how we ever could ?
