I can't blame the guy for wanting to get an "official" answer, with the amount of bans that have gone out. I'll have to agree, though, that you most likely won't get one here. But good luck any way!
As others have said, there's really no reason you'd be banned for using a VPN or proxy.
At the simplest, all it's doing is changing the route you take to connect to the game.
