Lightning EVENT is BIG Disappointment for me !

So I heard Lightning shows up after the FATE sometimes.

Couldn't tell you for sure though with all the aoe spamming, player shouting, 200 people shown at once standing on Lightning and ability spamming going on.

Maybe next event you'll get right SE.

Or we could always get that slider you were talking about that reduces the number of characters shown on-screen. Would love to put that sucker at freakin' ZERO.

Turn off other character animations and nametags. Should help you out some.

You would be disappointed only if you expected something more than this....and I don't know why you'd expect something more than this.

There's been no indication to raise your expectations any higher. This game is going to be about horizontal gear progression and raid content. Not any of the foo-foo fancy event quests.

I haven't even done the FATE, but a handful of posters here are either dumb or purposely ignoring the claims that SE could have found a better way to do this.

FATE events, seasonal or otherwise, are zerg fests requiring little or no coordination between all the participants. It makes what would otherwise be an epic world boss fight(Behemoth and Odin)just another boring face roll before moving on to the next and that's IF you can even see what you're trying to attack. Don't roll your eyes at people who chose to believe the hype and were disappointed. Most of us wouldn't even be here if we didn't have a little faith. The "we got Lightning, be grateful!" stance does not work.

Dear SE: Next time you do a event of this kind PLEASE do it as a Dungeon/Guildquest/Duty Finder thing and even way better if it was of groups of 4-8 or 24 O.O than a FATE. Thanks

When people from our FC/LS were like OH I M GOING TO DO THIS RIGHT UP DO YOU WANT TO COME?! I was like "Nah if you noticed it will get worse than when Odin/Behemoth appears and I m not dying to have it from day 1 anyways I couldn t care less about Snow/Lighting outfits (because I have 2 male/1female char) if it was a FANG OUTFIT I wouldn t care about lag and go STRAIGHT UP! but anyways GL with the "event" I might go for it the previous day it ends or a few days not on a prime time .

Congratulations to any people that actually enjoyed this event or had friends that did. I have friends and family I got into FFXIV that are slowly logging in less and less and less and I got them hyped about this event as something fun to do to hopefully re spark their interest in the game, but every single person that I have informed about the quest has had the same annoyed and sad response. If they advertise these kind of events for months with big flashy banner on the front of Lodestone I would expect they would make it a event that is at least partially fun and involved and not just a Fate where you can't even see what is happening. It is just sad because I want to be able to talk about the game and hype friends about events without everyone being constantly let down.
