Never is a strong word since they definitely did it with FFXI. Going forward, however, they most likely will not.

This, but let's be honest here, companies will fight tooth and nail to keep those caps. Yes, we will hit them more often, and sooner, but companies like Comcast aren't going to budge unless they are forced to.

Heh, I haven't had a data cap since 1998..... Comcast has no caps here, never has. Unless you call 200GB a cap and when you hit that 200GB cap you just get an email saying "woah, thats a lot of bandwith, mind answering a survey about how you use the internet?"

And if I lived someplace where there was only one provider with a cap, I'd move someplace else even if it meant changing jobs and careers.
