I see so you like an open world that is nothing more than eye candy? If they did bring some endgame/mechanics from XI it dosent mean you have to do it, it would be an option. Some endgame isnt meant for everyone, there isnt any reason not to do this as an option just because you dont like XI or hated how something worked. Its one thing to cater to one player type but it is another to appeal to a broad audience and that is what Yoshi's goal is, so therefore again there is no reason not to do this.

Whoa, that's a lot of insinuating what I might want. But with your logic, there's no reason to not do a lot of things. People can argue to put content from any SE or other MMO.. because, as you say, there's no reason not to do or implement it.

And this is coming from someone who is fond of FFXI.

What do you mean from the marketing point of view? It was their most successful game, EVER in terms of money made.

I understand you point of view but currently we have a beautiful open world with well nothing worth doing. Players stand around in town once they hit 50 and run dungeons. My point is there is so much more that can be done with the open world. Yes something should be easy but not all things like they currently are. Players need challenge and all we have is 2 fates that give nothing of interest or important to alot, mobs are on a very short leash and dont pose any type of challenge. Ultimalty the care bear attitude needs to go and let the players have some challenge in the open world, let the pose a threat so that the world feels even more alive. As pretty as the open world is, it is just boring as hell.
