All I ask is that when you join a dungeon using DF, please communicate at the start. It's sooo annoying to do runs without any sort of communication from the Tank, who is generally accepted as the party leader.

On a speed run for example scholar healer for example needs to know if they should use their Aetherflow on DPS, Sacred Soil, or Lustrate if you plan on doing a multi-mob pull. If you plan on skipping a mob, let SMN/SCH know beforehand so they can dismiss their pets. If your multi-mob pull strats mean you need access to 700HPS and 900DPS, ask at the start if the group can provide that. Don't just expect the DPS and Healer to carry you through pulls without communicating.

I was going to say something to this effect, minus the part about the tank. I think communication needs to come from all sides of the party. That's essential for good teamwork. There are new tanks who shoot up to high levels and don't know what other classes are capable of, so probably wouldn't be a good fit as team leader. The healer could just as easily be the leader, or for that matter a well-experienced DPS who understands other roles. The leader is just the player who takes the initiative and says, "Hey, this is how it should work out in this dungeon. Watch out for traps here, wanderers there, these ones you can't sleep, etc." For me the other day that was the BLM who had run the dungeon before when it was my first time. Yes, the tank should be first into the fight, grab adds and wanderers before they kill someone else, and basically keep the enemies bashing on him/her while DPS focus on killing and healer focus on healing (not to say healer and tank can't DPS too). But you can have a dumb brute (me, the marauder/warrior) or shining knight (gladiator/paladin) tanking for you; both of which btw are meant to take orders, unless they have the rank of second lt :P. The point is, stop assuming people know what they are doing and take 2-5 minutes before running a dungeon to make sure everyone is on the same page.
