And they could be my plans. And they could be anybody's plans. Plans don't mean anything if the person can't carry through, and judging from the history of this game, Tanaka would probably make it an incredibly convoluted battle system reform.

Face the facts already. Tanaka completely and totally failed as a producer on this game and it needed a new producer. Is Yoshida the producer it needs? I don't know. We'll see, but for damn sure Tanaka did terribly as a producer on this game no matter what his plans were.

We all know tanaka took the blame for the game i don't know why you can't see that.

Yoshi-p been leader for how long 5month? and we have we got? Big size mobs, big size spell and few more quest that don't even have CS. Now we getting dungeon/raids i though FFXIV was going to be something else and not be a wow-clone....

Tanaka did not have time and yoshi have all the time in the world and the game still in the same way it was just little better but not enough to make players log on.

It is the producer's job to set the schedule for a game. They decide the budget and the schedule, effectively deciding what makes it into the game upon release.

Tanaka had how long to make the game good? 5 years at least. And it was crap.

I've argued this with you before and you fail to understand anything anyone else says. You rely on the complete and total assumption that Tanaka was forced to step down and was forced to release the game before it was done (despite the fact that there is little or no evidence to say that...hence a total assumption).

And there is little to no evidence saying that it wasn't rushed to market by Wadaface? Oh other than the game itself.

I made one of the other threads probably thought of as a Tanaka appreciation thread. Although mine was about appreciating his vision alone. Quite honestly, I think he's a little crazy but I bet this situation has been a big reality check for him. He created what many of us liked the best out of MMOs but he was such a bad MMO leader. Here's to his next work though. I have no doubt it will be compelling.

i don't particularly care to have Tanaka back leading FFXIV's direction, Yoshi-P is doing a grand job turning this thing around in a short amount of time. It may not be fast enough for some people, but when you take into consideration the sheer SCALE of the changes needed to finish the game off enough to make it profitable, i think he's the right man in the right position right now.

I believe he was just a scapegoat, because really, not much has changed since Sept 22nd. A few text based quests, bigger rats, and market crashes lol.

Don't get me wrong, I think everyone involved in a management position and especially quality control are at fault. Tanaka and Komoto should of protested the game being released. Greedy CEO's pushing and or driving a flagship franchise into the ground does not help either. Everyone involved is at fault imo.
