Thing is Amnie Op already said he doesnt expect said things to be put in and just wants to see what people miss from 11. Theres nothing wrong with nostalgia.
Edit; Hey Sanj thought that was you. Never knew you were a roe haha.

That is where i set for the most part. I beta tested from Beta 1 . And played V1 i have a legacy but i do not play him on Hyperion ( Dark Reign ) This game is not 11 but could take some of the better things from 11 . And it would still not be 11 .1.x had Notorious Monsters that dropped green items on a 5 minute spawn. You could go 1/1 on drop or 1/15ish. There was some claim battles but nothing drama inducing like FFXI. What's sad is almost all those NMs from 1.x have now been turned into FATE mobs as well. Certain mobs like Uraeus and Dodore have been taken out of the game and their sought after skins for crafters in 1.x are now random drops from chests in dungeons. They still make the same gear but not really sought after like they were since they really killed any reason for crafters and their gear.
Personally I'm all for it. I'm even more for a 'hardcore' 1 life type thing. But I also realize neither of these will come in to a game who's philosophy is to cater to the majority of crowds. It's too much of a niche item now.
I think a lot of us expected the Limit Break system to be separate and perhaps the option to combine for more powerful. I don't recall anyone too happy with it during the beta. In fact one of the bigger complaint threads was about the dragoon using a sword for Limit Break.
I understand the feelings on this one. I think he wanted to save that look/style/ferocity for the roaming/captured primals that can be then used/unleashed during fights. Not in the game yet of course, but just my thoughts. I'm okay with the Egis mainly because I don't care for SMN, however I love SCH.
yep nothing quite as rewarding as hitting lvl 7 thf 7 times in 1 day. geez that was the worse thing 11 had I think.
Death Penalty . I miss this because it made you try harder it made you put more effort in not dying . It Slowed level progress down a little do to loss exp on death . ( getting a 50 in less then a week is to fast ) It would be nice to add this in to slow level progression .
Honestly, the biggest thing I miss from XI... Crafting mattered. Gil mattered. The economy mattered. Not that any of these things in XI were perfect. But they were there and mattered.
Here is to hoping my crafting 50s will be worth more than making rugs and bling for your FC house.

Gear sets- Was nice to have a piece of gear for every spell/Ability
HNMs- Odin/Behemoth don't count
BCNMs- Dunno why we don't have these
Gear Variety
Gear Stats- Haste Double/Triple attack stuff like that
NMs-OP already said even though a lot of fates have "NMs" in them its not the same
And the biggest thing I wish for from FFXI BLUE MAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Paaatience Grasshoppa. At least, I hope things turn around in time. If not then it's FC furnishings 24/7 >.< Speaking of...I know you can craft anywhere (aside from Inn Room atm), but I tossed around an idea today in FC. If there was a, let's say...blacksmith "Lab" that we could toss in housing, to maybe give us a boost to craftsmanship/control. Kinda like Basic and Advanced Synthesis from XI? Would be a bit of initiative for people to farm/buy mats for w/e "Lab/Station whathaveyou" that they make, or buy off Markets. Just a random thought from today, and this thread seems a decent enough place to plant itHonestly, the biggest thing I miss from XI... Crafting mattered. Gil mattered. The economy mattered. Throwing around nostalgia "events" do not = implementation of FFXI's features. It's just there for...nostalgia! Surprise! It's still FFXIV.I miss NM's too, but I do *not* miss those horrid timers on some of them lol. 15 minutes isn't a problem, 15 minutes - 6 hours IS xD. Also, to the person saying Yoshi P is against all things XI, the future Shantotto event and minion would like to talk to you...when she comes around that is :P

I think they actually said housing will have craftin work areas in one of the last live letters alreadyPaaatience Grasshoppa. At least, I hope things turn around in time. I want the EXP Penalty back as well.
There were so many moments in FFXI where I stayed alive only because of it. I tried absolutely everything in my power to not die even if I pulled the whole room by accident. FFXIV has absolutely no thrill and no dangerous area on max level. I can pull half the map at 50 and still survive and if I die it doesn't matter.
Yeah, but I'd still like to see a lil buff of some kind for crafting at/near the stations. Or maybe just a bonus to "Quick Synthesis" to actually, y'know...make it quick ._. Better yet, train our retainers to stand at the forge 24/7 and make our stuff for us :P
