Antyhing that would involve me questing is fine ^^
this nothing more then speculation we have no clue what there doing yetJob system wont be leveling up from R1, it'll most definitely be more like say a Conjurer Rank 30 unlocks WHM, you would be a Conjurer specialized as White Mage, R30. It just amplifies the class you're playing as in the direction you specialize as (so in this case you would become a more efficient healer at the expense of say nuking), that's it. That is what many people on the forums are guessing anyway by the sound of it, but we'll see when its released however it could be completely different but I doubt it'll be R1 "advanced jobs" so to speak.
Depends on the quest... the Maat quest was epic.
The quest requiring you to farm items with rediculously low drop rates... not so much.
It would be fun to have a class quest every few levels that raises your cap. Like additional training.
One quest to raise a level cap is hardly content. New dungeons, new NMs and new leves to go along with the higher cap, now that's content, and that's the kind of stuff that should be developed. Not some annoying cap quest. People want something similar to Maat? That's fine, but make it relate to some new kind of optional content, not a required barrier that one must pass to have the privilege of progressing towards cap.
Ehhh a good mission/quest something to do at specific points in the game is entertaining to me, im not saying it should be like hunting rare items, or something, but its good to have milestones, that have some sort of backdrop or reasoning, make you feel like your charachter is actually proving itself and getting better, rather than killing 2000 pterocsOne quest to raise a level cap is hardly content. I can agree with that. One thing I feel they really fell short on was the reasoning behind a lot of what we currently have available to us, especially the primary missions, which, imo, is a very important part of the gameplay. Right now I am not sure why I should be compelled to join into the main story at all. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it currently lacks an early hook that makes me think "This matters to me." There definitely needs to be some of that. Even so, it is much better to want to do something than to be forced to do something. If they wish to reward effort, here is an idea. Instead of forcing one to do a quest to increase their cap, give the cap increase and add a quest available at the previous cap that gives one a boon when completing it. Perhaps an extra 2% SP for the next 5 ranks, or a special materia only available from that quest.Ehhh a good mission/quest something to do at specific points in the game is entertaining to me, im not saying it should be like hunting rare items, or something, but its good to have milestones, that have some sort of backdrop or reasoning, make you feel like your charachter is actually proving itself and getting better, rather than killing 2000 pterocs
