However, I didn't know that it caps out at 1.5 to 2 levels of your current class. Now I wish I logged out on my 30 THM I'm leveling instead of logging out on the ACN I leveled to 5 just so I could have psychic for BLM...
When we say current class, we mean the one you're using it on. Getting 1.5 levels of rested, while being on a 50, won't give you massive amounts for a low level. It will still be 1.5 levels for the low level. Hence the percentage.

Yes. The reason it seems to last longer is that it ONLY applies to Experience gained from kills/crafts/gathers. Leve/Fate/Quest XP doesn't use it at all, so it can seem to last longer than you'd think. If you ground out the whole amount it would be the right amount.

That's the thing though. While I'm not arguing that it is more than 2 levels, I didn't just FATE grind. I threw a couple of dungeons in there as well as participated in FATEs in which you also get exp from killing the monsters themselves. When you say 2 levels, do you mean only the extra exp gained from the rested bonus counts against the amount stored?

For example, if I gained 300 exp (100%). 150 exp from the monster kill, 75 from armory bonus, and then 75 from rested. Does only the 75/total exp for that level * 100 count against my rested bonus?

Basically it says that while rested lasts you get a 50% bonus to your XP from kills and whatnot. I "believe" it counts the whole amount, as in if you ground on mobs for the entire time, once you got the 1.5 levels or whatever, it would be gone. It could be based on the amount the bonus gives, but when I leveled ACN, it seemed to work the other way. Only reason I say this is I mostly did dungeons to level ACN, and the bar wouldn't skip ahead a little when you got XP from kills. Which is what I would expect to see with the second concept.

You don't gain an actual XP amount. You gain a percentage of a level(s). That's where the disconnect is. So, yes, the class you log out as doesn't matter.

Thanks for the info. For some reason I wrongly assumed you gained rested XP at a set rate and the amount you could gain was connected to your current class, then as you switch classes your rested XP percentage stays the same. That's pretty convoluted and wrong. There was definitely a disconnect. Having everything based on percentage level(s) makes sense and is easier to work with.
