Please add Ferry/Boats rides and Airships

Hi i'm posting about how there are like no boats or airships in this game that u can sit and enjoy the leisure of the ride and enjoy the view, i mean i understand this game was made to be fun and quicker with the teleport options but it wouldnt hurt just to add them into this game because honestly it kinda gets a little boring when u can't do some of the little things in this game , ( hope others see this posts and try to add more ideas to what u can do while riding an airship or a boat )

Well golly.. I can't believe you would request to inconvenience players with only 30 minutes a month of play time with 5 minute airship/ferry rides in an MMO.. how selfish...

I agree completely. I miss the boat rides from 1.0 and being able to cast my fishing line while we sailed to Limsa or Thanalan. Seeing the fish and the water and seeing the boat move closer to the land mass off in the distance as absolutely awesome. I demand we bring it back then I promise to buy Yoshi a beer!

i understand the inconvenience it would be to normal players but it wouldn't be so bad if it was an option to ride the boat or just ride the skip cutscene boat ride and takes you to ur destination anyways whats wrong with having both. thats all i meant just to have both options available

From what I understand, the reason for the change was less for the convenience thing for players and more for technical reasons - during the ferry/airship ride a whole specific zone would have to be coded and created to show the ferry or airship travelling, which would eat into server resources and development time better spent on other things.

But I agree I'd love to be able to actually ride an airship or ferry en route (even if airships actually aren't exactly spacious - they're little more than flying cars really in terms of size).

I also agree. In ffxi it was a fun pastime. I met a few cool people on boat rides haha. This could be added as a additional fishing spot where u can only catch these number of fishes in the middle of the sea. It'll be pretty cool! And the scenery will be awesome!

Why not take it a step further and provide individual players (or Free Companies) with the opportunity to OWN (or even rent) airships and seafaring ships? I know it's a bit much to ask for, but few memories match the impact the first ferry ride from Selbina to Mhaura had on my XI experience. I love this game, but everyone's in such a hurry all the time. I hope housing helps relieve some stress for the developers.

Possibilities:
Airship
- Sky Fates (attacks on airships?)
- Cannon upgrades (like in Castrum Meridianum)
- A place to craft (new music?)

Seafaring Ship
- Sea Fates (attack on ship?)
- Cannon upgrades (like in Castrum Meridianum)
- A more atmospheric fishing scenario (new music?)

I think both scenarios present an epic new way to encounter/fight the Garlean Empire.
