I'm sorry but that is a bad reason to not use one of your primary dps abilities on SCH. You do realize that demon wall has a very simple pattern right? You should always be preemptively standing in the right location anyways.. If SF is the reason you get hit by a move from demon wall you either just need more practice or you're bad in general and don't pay attention, I'd guess the first one because it's really not hard to avoid once you've done it a few times and memorize the pattern.
Done it with SF, never got a prob, but just be careful.![]()
When you've never done that before during a battle, yes, the difficulty can be "unfathomable".
You do realize that despite his attack pattern being heavily choreographed, not everyone knows the precise second of when he will execute his actions, right? I've run AK over 100 times and have full DL gear, plus a relic +1 on my DRG, and I even got my Wyrm mail last week, so please don't try and make it seem like I don't know what I'm doing here. I certainly don't need practice. I just simply can't see the attack when Shadow Flare is on the ground.I'm sorry but that is a bad reason to not use one of your primary dps abilities on SCH. Nothing more, nothing less.
EDIT: Ummm... I'm never in the middle before repel. For whatever reason, I always go to the left side of the wall and attack from there. I'm not sure why, but I've never actually fought him from my right side, lol.

The thing is you don't need to know the precise second he uses the attack.. there is lots of time to move, unless your camera is fully zoomed in you can see the lines extend past SF and get several seconds after they appear before the move goes off. If you have done AK over 100 times and still can't dodge that ability then I really don't know what else to say to you and think you might be just seeking attention here. You do realize that despite his attack pattern being heavily choreographed, not everyone knows the precise second of when he will execute his actions, right? If a SCH is not shadow-flaring the wall, I don't like them.
But you do, because if you really did it "over 100 times" like you claim, you could kill it with 50 shadow flares all over the entire room.
As others have said, zooming out the camera IS the solution. Shadow flare isn't so big that you won't be able to see the void zone on the ground behind it.
But I can dodge the ability, lol. I just can't dodge it if I can't see it. Imagine being a DPS during the Ifrit or Titan HM fight and people expecting you to dodge plumes without seeing them, despite them being so easy to dodge. That's how I feel when a Scholar plants a Shadow Flare right in front of the wall and I'm unable to see the floor change color. The thing is you don't need to know the precise second he uses the attack.. there is lots of time to move, unless your camera is fully zoomed in you can see the lines extend past SF and get several seconds after they appear before the move goes off. I don't know what else to tell ya, man.
EDIT:Lol no. I don't. Just because a fight may be easy doesn't mean you can do it blindly. But you do, because if you really did it "over 100 times" like you claim, you could kill it with 50 shadow flares all over the entire room.

Tell ya what... Since you're such an expert, fight Demon Wall with a blindfold on. Yeah, that's what I thought. My experience has nothing to do with this issue.
