Playstation 3 Launch date?

Where did you hear that? The only statement I've seen so far is

'when we will introduce the product I cannot discuss - but development work is underway, so the costs are incurred there."

I don't remember anything about a playable PS4 model at E3 either. and honestly, though it'll probably be backwards compatible, I doubt they'll be redesigning it for the PS4 anyway.

I too would like to know where they claimed this because I couldn't find anything about it.

As long as the PS4's release isn't too far off, that would actually be a good thing for XIV. I doubt it's being re-designed for the PS4 though from everything we've been told. But I would not be surprised if it was backwards compatible.
