Maintenance started 43 minutes early :(

Maybe they can add a new guild for maintenance in game. That sounds like a lot of fun, tie it in with the gil seller spam, and you get XP for reporting. I'd be at level 50 for sure.

Is it possible they shut the servers down quickly to get a jump on the hack? If they announced it even giving them a little time is it possible the couldn't be caught? Just a thought.

Honestly, I thought the reason the servers went down earlier than what was listed on the site/log in was because Japan does not observe DST as North America and some regions of Europe, or call, cant remember. Japan was once on the DST rotation as well, but they left it over 50 years ago.

The current system issue is a viable reason too, though.

Looks like this thread was started at 3:19 and SE just posted the reason for the early shutdown at 3:42. So we went argo before SE told use what was going on. I'm not so mad now. I use the market all the time and I'm sure thousands of others do too.

Most people don't actually mind, and snapping back isn't going to stop the few QQers.

Personally, I hope this gets fixed for everyone involved WITHOUT SE doing a game-wide rollback.

They most likely did it for damage control reasons. They'd still have to review everything that went on with this the same as if they had done it at the scheduled time. Given the severity, expect a big extension to the scheduled time of the maintenance.
