No, you'd fall flat on your face if you pulled like that, your healer would have to spam on you instead of getting to utilize the huge damage from Holy spam, and your small MP pool makes flash spam less of a viable option so you'd have to blow TP on over power which in turn chips away at your reserve TP for sprinting from pull to pull.
well that settles that. back to running the bear minimum amount to cap sorry people in ques one less tank.

You don't que solo and then proccede to speed run unless you like the taste of the floor.
He didn't ask if you could run it in 15 mins he asked if a WAR could do what the PLD did in the video (which is, again, no) and last time I checked in a SPEED run, speed and efficiency are king, the faster/less taxing it is the better, that's what people look for.
Yes you can do it with any rag tag composition but bringing certain classes over others will net you a much smoother run.
Time is Time is Time and yes, to some, saving 2-5 mins matters (which can be upwards of a >33%< reduction in completion time, how is that something you just dismiss?)

How does 2-5 minutes make a difference? Will the sky fall if a WP run is 15 minutes long and not 10 minutes long?
For most people WAR can speed run well and it is just as good as PLD assuming that your goal is just to run a dungeon quickly and not set a record time.
But again, not something I'd suggest to another player attempt without relic and at least a few pieces of myth gear.

Foe Requiem is also much better for the fighting than ballad, 10% more damage on your BLM and no damage reduction from ballad as well, bard can just do ballad at the end of pulls or after running out of tp to get your mp back, Tank can easily spam fastblade> riot blade for mp back during kills and will have easily enough for the next pull. To make it easier without ballad try to flash only the big groups of mobs on the way to pulls, and by using sprint as early as you can you will easily have enough TP for a shield lob on the stragglers like the single tonberries for example, instead of having to waste a flash on 1 mob, thereby saving a bunch of mp for when everything is gathered so you can spam for longer before needing riot blade(And don't waste Circle of scorn on 3 mobs...save that for the full group). Having ballad during pulls is why you need ballad during pulls, you wouldn't need it if you had Foe requiem instead and good mp management on the way.
Another thing, Shield oath is really not necessary for boss fights except maybe the last half of tonberry king, as emnity is non issue and all the bosses hit like wimps and besides tonberry king with a few stacks. Goobue and Slime spend half the fight targeting someone else. Sword oath is much better.
I also just noticed something watching it again, why are you using flash on bosses...Flashing the slime adds I understand (which isn't needed either since they are weak, a couple holy's takes them out)You do solid damage especially with sword oath and generate a ton of hate with combos, you don't need to waste mp and time on flashing bosses. I have never lost hate on a boss with sword oath up doing 9 min runs, I'd imagine it would be even easier to hold hate with shield oath up. You also would then never have to wait for mp after you kill a boss, allowing the bard to do swiftsong to help him keep up with the group (since mages can spend Sprint anytime as they have no TP concerns, bard cannot do this) and can freely foe requiem again at the next pull, improving overall run speed drastically.
And yet another thing, you never once dodged fire against the slime boss, if you dodge fire by running through him to cancel his cast, your whm can focus on DPS as well, making the bosses quicker.
This video is informative and helpful for people starting to run WPSR's, but can be improved upon greatly.

You can also pull the 2 tonberries in front of the slime boss door without pulling the casters to the left and then have those 2 casters + the caster and skeleton chase/get locked out.
Hollowed ground can also be used twice, once during the first large pull and then again where you used it which allows for the heal to spam holy even more.
@Mister
He probably flashes the boss to blind them and as to why he said to flash the slime boss at the start to pull off the DPS that pulled probably just for the sake of being lazy, doesn't have to spend time initially targeting the boss to pull it off. (and snap target in this game is absolutely dreadful)
Shield Oath doesn't reduce the damage from Everybody's Grudge so you can roll sword oath on all the bosses.
I agree that the video can be improved upon. I just made a simple guide to help beginner tanks to understand how the WPSR's work.
Thank you for your feedback.
Yes, and anyone telling you otherwise is making excuses.
I wouldn't attempt a speedrun without full DL and relic unless you know the people in the group though
Even if a healer can do more DPS than WAR, does it really matter if you aren't trying to set a record? No, you'd fall flat on your face if you pulled like that, your healer would have to spam on you instead of getting to utilize the huge damage from Holy spam, and your small MP pool makes flash spam less of a viable option so you'd have to blow TP on over power which in turn chips away at your reserve TP for sprinting from pull to pull.
You can run WP in 15 minutes with any conventional group composition.
