My good sir, If you want a real WoW clone. May I direct you to Runes of magic? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jol_ZLO79ns
FF14 being a WoW clone is hilarious, they don't even feel the same, I should know, I played WoW from BC to the end of WoTLK.

My good sir, If you want a real WoW clone. May I direct you to Runes of magic? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jol_ZLO79nsOnce again, because FFXI is not FFXI anymore. As someone that I know for a fact played a ton of FFXI (seen you around its forums) you should know this.
Also, you people have got to be kidding me.... You cannot possibly not see how this is clearly derived from wow... Out of all the mmos I have played ( numbering well over 50) this game is as close to wow as you can get while not literally being a clone. I mean, Yoshi has made it quite clear that he looked to WoW as the pinnacle of the 'modern mmo' and made the devs play it to know what they should be making. SWTOR was less of a wow clone than this game is and SWTOR was pretty wow-ish.

Im aware of Runes of magic and thats why I said as CLOSE as you could get without being a literal clone..... and uh, it feels exactly the same and I should know because I played WoW from launch through the near the end of BC.My good sir, If you want a real WoW clone. So wait is it a clone or isn't it? Ya don't get halfsies with being called a clone of something.
When it's halfsies you know what we call it?
Similar elements. Which makes sense! RPG's have been borrowing from each other since they started coming out. Comes with the territory . I've played far more than 50 MMO's took me a long time to find one that wasn't completely like WoW or Anime MMO #950,099, or Korean MMO #801, FF 14 aint perfect but it's got a nice little blend of a lot of the newer stuff just like...
FF 11 did when it came out. Took a lot of inspiration from other RPG's like most games tend to do. Game also just came out. Not you or I know how this game will be until we see more content. Also why'd you quit when WoW actually was a good game man?
When did I actually call it a clone? My point is entirely that the game draws almost entirely from wow, its not putting out new ideas and it isnt taking good ideas from other beloved games which is especially insulting to fans of its previous mmo which they forsook in favor of drawing in new players. Furthermore, what you are saying implies that WoW is characteristic of what all mmos are and that simply is not true. It is far more than similar elements, its is a flat out emulation of WoWs exact model. Is it a clone? No. Is it the latest in a string of mmos trying to be WoW thinking that is the only way to do things? Yes.So wait is it a clone or isn't it? Ya don't get halfsies with being called a clone of something.
