Hironobu Sakaguchi is the father of FF and look where Spirits Within landed him. Consider this Tanaka's Spirits Within. In simpler terms this was his blunder that SE will never let go.

Hironobu Sakaguchi, spirit within originally had a very extravagant story line that perhaps would of extended its development greatly but was forced to releases it early, Square wanted to make a profit and deemed it good enough. I believed he left and started his own company due to these creative conflicts. If anyone is to blame for both instances is the money hungry people at Square, Wada.

I haven't heard much on Fantasy Earth Zero I don't really think that is a cash cow by any means, hell not even sure if it isn't a F2P mmo or not. They could use another MMO to bring in the money for new future Final Fantasy games and new games in general, over the next few years technology in gaming will take another leap and they will need the money to support new games for that. MMOs are amazing cash dairy cows and SE is smart, the more cows you have the more milk you will get.

You're not even talking about the issue I found with the game and you once again brought up WoW. I didn't even play WoW, nor was I comparing it to another MMO's difficulty (<--which is the right usage of the word; take notes).

What I was pointing out was you trashing Yoshi when the director hasn't even released any major content yet under his reign and that it was prejudging. On top of that, I pointed out the very large span of time in which content was never balanced under Tanaka. In the small amount of content in FFXIV and for many years with FFXI. He wasn't spun gold. Let's stop acting like he was.

everyone trash on tanaka i can trash on yoshi-p and there my point he have done noting for everyone to think he hope for the game. For all you know he could mess up this game more then Tanaka could in 1year.

Also you do understand FFXIV start making around E3 right? it was only 40% when they show the video and said that ffxiv was a mmo at e3 then gamescom was about i think if i remember 60% around there. Which pretty much means FFXIV was never ready even ppl at E3 said a 2010 release? CEO/stockholder want the game out asap so that what they did even tho they said in many interview they needed more time. So how can you blame Tanaka want they was not giving the time to even make the game? when the game was only 40% done when they show it at E3.

FEZ was f2p but had a cash shop, but the game was shut down couple month ago. Though it was probably the game which introduced me to the combat system which the upcoming title TERA will be using.

Problem is was just not making enough money to be run in NA i think that one of the reason. So if they want money it can't be a f2p game there way to many for that.

Only mistake they made was XIV.

There was a whole month in 2007 when 2 handed weapon STR formula was messed up, THF could SA from the front, and BRD Zurka was as fast as flee. And dont even get me started on how often PLD was changed.

RMT out of control for years.

RNG nerf, NIN shadow nerf, NIN sub dual wield nerf, PC's being kicked from a party when entering a MH, and Haste Nerf. Thats just a small list of things I can think of. I'm not trying to be a douchebag, but I think these all qualify as the mistakes made by SE they were talking about.
