There was no pressure, we were all content beta testing saying "this game if far from ready" when Wada gave the green light and kicked it out the door.

Gramul just out of curiosity how long have you been playing FFXIV you sound very optimistic, just like I used to until a few months ago.

Oh another Thread with loads of Crybabies around. Seriously im looking for People which are actually smart enough to understand the work behind the scenes. You can argue and hate as much as you want, but you wont get the point of programming a MMORPG, esp. when every guy is bitching like a big crybaby "i want this, i want that, i dont like this, i dont like that, bla bla bla".

All this bitching is nothing else but causing Problems. How you guys think, SE is going to filter the "good comments", and trying to get good ideas out of it? To read through 20000 Hateposts is of course a Pain and i also wouldnt like it and i actually would all slap your face for not having any kind of Respect to SE letting you guys play for FREE, till the Game reaches a "well done" point.

I'm not preparing for the worst, but my expectations are low.

It shouldn't be that way. A good game allows the players to have high expectations and then meets those expectations. Or at the very least, doesn't say something like "Patch 1.17b may have some content broken off from 1.18" and then give us 2 bug fixes and some typo corrections (that should have been fixed before release).

The fact is that it is taking them an obscene amount of time to get the game rolling with whatever "basic" changes they need to get other content implemented.

However this is perfectly natural. I'm tired of waiting yet I understand virtually NOTHING can be implemented before they make these battle changes...however the battle changes need to be nothing short of fabulous for the amount of time it has been since release (Mid-June AT THE EARLIEST is already well past half a year since release).

The bottom line is that if we don't see a huge influx of content and high quality patches after the base of the new battle system is implemented, the game's playerbase will lose even more morale in the dev team and most likely the population will continue to drop.

Ask me to play in a year and sure I might, but ask me to play until then and I'll tell you "Hell no."

Nothing wrong about it, and you didnt get lied to. You really think 300 MB are just 2 Bugfixes? I dont know if someone was .dat mining allready, but im pretty sure there actually IS 1.18 content in it.

I never said I was lied to. However, people DID .dat mine it and there was nothing extra but the typo fixes I mentioned.

We all paid for a game that couldn't even deliver what was on the game's DVD case. When the forums came out there were tons of posts about everything.... buts its the internet and of course people argue and instead of being logical it quickly turns to name calling. Not to mention we're rolling up close to a year, and the game really hasn't changed all too much. People have tossed in tons of various ideas... but the dev's rarely even say anything. If we actually had a PR dev comment on threads and let us know if they are actually looking at this people would be less disgruntled. But yes its gotten worse, people get sick of trying to say the same things over and over. Since day 1 people complained about the battle system and the lack of job uniqueness. We're just now hearing that they are going to address that, but no idea how. If they really cared about our input they would post details on exactly how they are changing it and at least get a little feedback on their ideas... but oh well.

But no, SE isn't going to get praise any longer. At least from the masses. People are frustrated and rightly so. Its no longer "well the game is free to play because they know its broken and want to make up for it".. now its "The game is free to play because they need beta testers".

But in short, the "creative discussions" were held. But that was months ago. Nothing came of it from the dev's... so people just gave up, move on. Some of us are still here because we hope this game will make a comeback... but we're pretty damn bitter at this point.

Well, they haven't said anything because they gave every suggestion to Yoshi-P, and only Yoshi-P has the finish palm to decide what to implement or not. If we get what we say, we'll see in the next patch notes.

And what's the difference between making up a broken game and having beta testers? I mean, both will help building up the game, I don't think anybody gives something about how they do it.

Also, people could have a little of common sense. You can't possibly fix a game in this state in little months, and yet, what they've done until now is not bullcrap, as they have fixed the UI and made the game faster and nicer to play (just play it now and notice it). Also, they should understand that more negative posts, and also more positive posts, ain't gonna do sh*t for the game. Just more complaints/praises that nobody would even care about.

So who cares for praises or hates. We just want this game to see a brighter light of the day, and we're gonna help them by posting our best feedbacks (use the Feedback & Suggestions form too!), then let SE be the judge. If they do a choice there is a logic on why they did that choice.

Anywho, I totally agree with you ( though I think we been agree the whole thread just wasn't bluntly spoken) These negative post aren't getting no where. There's a difference between Constructive Criticism and being negative about a thought or idea. There's ways to say what someone says isn't such a good idea in a polite way and explain why it's not such a good idea.

But anyhow back to more Positives!
