Crafting HQ 1-star with my current stats

I hope someone can help me with rotation to HQ 1-star tools with my current stats or tell me what I need to meld as I plan to use Patrician's gear to craft other crafter's AF gear pieces (namely when I get GSM/ARM/LTW to 50):

I did HQ my militia file myself but needed to HQ the darksteel nugget and hippogryph leather. The current rotation I use is:
Inner Quiet -> Steady Hand II -> 5x Basic Touch -> Manipulation -> Steady Hand -> Great Strides -> Byregot -> Careful Synthesis II till done.
Is there a rotation to make it easier with and without relying on Hasty Touch and no HQ mats?

There's no easy way to get around it, you have to AF then meld a little, which luckily isn't that bad anymore. While doable without any materia on 1-star, consistent results will need a few melds. Accessories are nice since they cross class, and usually not worth SBing as much anyway.

but what you're missing is ingenuity. I have no idea why you didn't put it since you're a bsm, if you're creating a file.

If you want to not rely on hasty spam, then you would need cp, cp, and more cp.

Without melds should be at 313 cp or something(you would want to get lvl50 rings), with Comfort Zone, you're at 335 ish, and with food you can probably hit 350. Look for the 100% HQ thread will tell you what you need with some changes.

You need 4-7 touches to get a HQ spam on bygrot. With ingenuity (I/II) on last go, that's another 5-10%, and you probably have 3 more steps of ingenuity to finish in 2 synths, for 1 star.

The trick is to find out how much cp you can honestly do to get 7 or so touches and a great-bygrot, and you're golden.

Honestly, stick with hasty spam until you hit 340cp without food, or without comfort zone.

Thanks for the advice. I was lucky with a Good after Manipulation to use Tricks of the Trade when I made my file to use Ingenuity and didn't want to include that into rotation since you can't count on it. I guess I'll continue leveling GSM to craft my own aetherite ring. I only got byregot a few days ago so I still have no idea how to calculate how much quality it increases.

It adds 20% per touch under inner quiet. Since inner quiet is also increasing each touch, you get super bygrot in 2 fold multiplication.

It's hard to say without knowing the quality amount of the craft and your own control, but rule of thumb is to hit +/- 7 touches before brygrot. Of course condition would change it, but that's your goal. Of course more touches is better, but usually cp won't let you get that high. So aim for 5+ touches.

Just something I thought I'd add since you mentioned Patrician's gear in the first post: I can confirm that it's possible to hit 2star stats with the Patrician set (my set gives me 347 Craftsmanship, 320 Control and 345 CP without overmelding my offhand). It's obviously harder to hit the required stats on Patrician gear compared to class-specific AF gear (and by harder, all I really mean is you need a few more melds on a few more pieces), but with the Patrician set you get the added benefit of being able to use it on every class instead of having to meld 8 different crafting sets. And then all you really need at that point is some food and a good rotation.

At 339 CP and 333 Craft/326 Control on my non melded crafts (accessories/belt only) I can HQ from NQ mats on any 1 star recipe with the same rotation you use almost. Where it differs is, after the second SHII, I use two additional Basic Touches to get enough IQ stacks for Byregot. I only use 17+ CP food for these though. I also have Comfort Zone, but CP is a huge factor in HQing 1 stars without hasty spam in my opinion. You should also use Ingenuity before Byregots, so that it gets a small boost, but more to the point so your CSII has a good amount of power behind it. With the above stats and Ingenuity II, I only need to use CSII 2 times to finish 1 star recipes (80 durability).

Just use Hasty Touch spam. Problem solved.
