    Please DON'T nerf Titan HM

I just tried Titan HM for the first time last night, and call me a masochist, but that fight is fun! I was just practicing in the DF with random people, but learning the attack patterns, phases, and movement was SO much fun! This was the first time I have really felt like my skill as a gamer was being tested in this game. Can't wait to put a slightly more balanced team together and challenge him again tonight. So please, please don't make this fight any easier than it is. Titan is right up there with Emerald and Ruby Weapons in my opinion. Final Fantasy's legendary bosses.

So... anyone have any team setup recommendations? I'm a BLM.

Group setup doesn't really matter (though it helps to have a melee DPS for their LB I guess...still not needed). Above all else, the most important thing is to have a group of semi-competent individuals who are good at avoiding Weight of the Land, following the bomb patterns and not getting knocked off the edge. I've done this fight with many different combinations, including 2 tanks (one of them DPSing), 3 healers (imo harder than 2 healer setups), etc.

The fight all comes down to learning the ability rotation to the best of your ability so as to minimize avoidable damage that you take. As a BLM, focus on never getting hit by anything avoidable and use your cooldowns effectively. Perhaps a BLM could chime in on which sort of cooldowns are useful for which abilities (i.e. things like Manawall and such).

Manawall - Completely negates Landslide (it will hit for 0 and won't knock you back). Useful for Titan's Heart to minimise movement required and the 3x3 bombs in last phase (just stand in the centre of a group of 4 and carry on nuking. Don't use it just as a landslide is aimed at you, it takes a couple of seconds to work. Pre plan it's use.

Manaward - Will absorb 2 and a bit stomps (worth using I guess).

Aetherial Manipulation - If you gather on the tank for Geocrush (I think most parties do) it's good for being lazy.

Apocastasis - Reduces mountain buster damage by 30% (not sure if bugged or tooltip is completely wrong but apparently it works).

Just to say, if their method of nerfing is to only add The Echo buff on wipe, you can rightclick it off and still keep the fight "pure".

It needs to be changed. If they are going to force 2 Tanks on the DF group, the fight needs to use 2 Tanks.

That was your 1st time, it won't be fun after you've been trying for over 2-3 weeks.

I have failed 46 times in duty finder but have observed and read what set ups are best.

If I had a perfect setup this is what it would be:
    1 tank (PLD)
    2 healers (1 WHM 1 SCH)
2 melee DPS (if you only have 1 they could get trapped at heart phase and unable to use LB)
    1 bard (replenish healer mana)
2 DPS (type doesn't matter, 5 DPS total will end phase 5 faster so you won't have to heal as much on the tumults as the number of stomps increases)

I've been stuck at Titan HM for 2 weeks now. Tanks get gimped since we have to fight all the other tanks for that 1 position if we want to join a shout group. But hope the set up above I gave helps you.

It doesn't take that long. I must have spent at most a hour on him while being in only ak/af gear when some dl items.

You shouldn't even need to LB the heart...

I agree Titan is exactly where it needs to be. Even after the issues with dodging I've dealt with.

I had so many issues at first with dodging plumes, even after leaving the radius far behind, and lo and behold my system started lagging hard.

In troubleshooting, I removed the router from between my modem and computer.

For days now I have experienced fantastic response times by contrast, and have had no issues whatsoever dodging.

People need to know when to and when not to blame SE for lag. The issue could be closer to home than you think.
