2 star stat Meals

2 star stat meals like the Apkallu omelette seems like it's pointless to use right now when there is Deviled eggs which is not only cheaper to make but gives alot more benefit. Why?

A HQ Apkallu Omelette will give
+4% Crit(max 27)
+3% Vit(max 19)
+2% Acc(max 11)

A HQ Deviled Eggs will give
+5% Crit(Max 25)
+4% Vit(Max 14)
+2 Acc(Max 10)

Right now I can have up to 503 Crit and will get to 515 if I decide to craft the Necklace but even then you can't achieve +27 crit(+20 at best) from the omelette because of the low +4% gain. You would need 680 crit to get the full effect of the crit it gives. Is there even anyone who has reached close to that?

That +5% gain just really makes the Deviled egg superior so why even bother having the 2 star meal? I don't know if it'd be the same for the other 2 stars when compared to their lower level counterparts as I didn't thoroughly check.. Getting kinda late here but It seems like those other 2 star meals also give really % bonuses.

Maybe with higher item levels you'd be able to fully gain the benefits but seems like it won't be happening anytime soon

2 star meals are pointless right now. There is absolutely no reason to craft them, which kinda sucks. I have 5 ilvl90 items + relic on my sch and i still make myself normal food as the 2 star gives me a smaller bonus. Maybe once people get full ilvl90 it might be worth it.. Although i don't see it. I really think the percentages should be boosted by 1 to make them worth it.

probably going to need some ilv80/90 crafted gear to be able to customize your crit to maximize that food. think of it as a hint of good things to come. some of the 2 star foods you can hit cap on but not the crit hit rate.

I wouldn't know what overall stats look like in full ilvl90 gear, but even if you can't reach a particular 2star food's stat caps, isn't it still worth it if they give more points to the desired stat overall (than the worse food)?

And psht at the Apkallu slaughter. They're already being murderized, poor penguins. <_<

Can't speak for Crit, but for Tanks the usual "Goto" endgame food is HQ Toast: Vit +4% (Max 14), Parry +5% (Max 23). The alternative 2-star is HQ Finger Sandwich: Vit +3% (Max 19), Parry +4% (Max 27).

The Finger Sandwich equals the Toast at 467 Vit and 575 Parry... and starts outpacing it at 500 Vit and 600 Parry.

PLD "Best In slot" builds top out at around 533 Vit (just one Vit before it'd be enough for a sandwich to give you +16 Vit instead of +15!) and 594 Parry, so a PLD can technically get tiny bit better performance (currently +1 Vit) out of the HQ 2-star.

(Not that many people are likely to consider it to be worth all the extra effort and/or gil though...)
