    Be careful not to troll, and as it appears you're unfamiliar with either the mechanics of the fight or the positioning of the adds during the final drop the reason that doesn't work is that Dreadnought comes from the previous encounter's positioning while the OT picks up the second and you rush to finish the first.

    It's a common question I get with teams stuck on the 4th turn, hence my bringing it up in the guide for tanks trying to figure out how to bring a bit of order to the chaos in that fight while compensating for lesser DPS- they tend to be aware of the swipe and it's why they don't consider moving the boss to make it easier on the healers, who must focus on healing both tanks AND DPS now.

    When you simply list the abilities you are using code to tell the game what ability to use and in what order every time the macro button is pressed and nothing more. Abilities require the animation CD but it is essentially like pressing the buttons with you're fingers spaced with nano seconds between them, so long as they are not on CD they will fire in order every time without a hitch. See the "macro logic" post on the first page of the guide for more on this.

    I know it's a bit off topic but has any MRD/WAR seen Maim2 buff before?
    Looks just like Maim icon with a II (2) on it, was next to regular maim icon.

    Could be glitch, I could be dreaming... I didn't take any screenshot but didn't so I have nothing to prove "SS or it never happened", I should've taken SS but I swear to god I got maim2 buff on me last night while regular maim was on when fighting regular mobs.

    This happened when I was helping my bro in law clear Copper Bell Mines ID, setup was me WAR, Wife Scholar, Bro in law Thaumaturge, and a lancer from DF.

    In that dungeon I can only use 2 cross class skills so I had Flash and Provoke from Gladiator.

    Combo I used
    Heavy Swing > Maim combo
    Heavy Swing > Skull Sunder

    I pulled mainly with Tomahawk > spam Overpower and use Flash/provoke when needed
    I used Fracture on adds since bro in law wasn't hitting the mob that was numbered...
    Foresite when I was gettinghit hard and healing wasn't catching up.

    Mobs I think I was fighting when I got the maim2 buff - I think, not 100% sure since I was trying to rush through dungeon to go back to my pumpkin carving stuff for Halloween... Spriggan, Ghost, Bomb... again I'm not sure on this one, don't think it happened when I was fighting on of those Minotaur mobs, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't after where you see shell mobs and hypos.

    I just remember seeing it, and was telling my wife about it and was trying to reproduce but wasn't successful.


    Am I just dreaming? Glitch?

    Sounds like you found a rare unicorn there Reinhart, I've received reports from 2 others asking about it- I'll see if I can get them to post their rotations/encounter and see if there's any connection but I've never been able to duplicate one. Mayhap I'm just not worthy enough... yet. ;-)

    Wasn't using /wait. Tried 'em out while I was leveling Archer for Quelling Strikes. Here's the two I had.

It was just that I couldn't spam either one as the GCD was finishing to make it use Heavy Shot or Straight Shot the instant the GCD was up. Had to let the GCD finish before it'd recognize me hitting the button for the next ability. They'd use the other stuff that's off the GCD just fine as well so it was functional at least. Took me a bit to notice it as at first it just felt like it was playing less smooth.

    Might've just been doing something wrong. Just tried them again and had the same result. Even removed Internal Release to only have one action on the Straight Shot macro. Either it's macros in general or I need a different syntax.

    Ah what I think you're seeing is the time delay with the animation cooldown, the ability is going off on time but it appears there's a split second lag due to the archer's drawback before firing the ability. To this end I've created a lvl 20 archer and sat down with all 3 abilities next to the macros you've posted and have seen a few seconds in DPS favoring your macros so I'm not sure where the error could be.

    been looking into setting up some macros lately. is there a way to implement something like an if/then/else with them? something like "if inner beast is available, activate it. else, activate Heavy Swing"

    From what I understand something like a basic

    /ac "Inner Beast" <t>
    /ac "Heavy Swing" <t>
    on a single macro

    Will do what you want. (Syntax is approximate, I don't actually use macros myself.)

    I really don't recommend that as I feel it would be wiser to wait for heals then pop inner beast after using Heavy Swing.

    now that i think a little more about it, that makes perfect sense. just add the wait after the Heavy Swing. Guess this was just me trying to overcomplicate it...
