Pretty sure you didn't. I skipped the trash can DL chest/head and went straight to Myth pieces. I did sport the ugly Hoplite piece for a while though *shudder*

Ran WP twice last night and both runs had peeps with full AF that got gear upgrades and for some unknown reason did not want to equip them, one of them actually refused after I asked nicely because his AF "looked better"...

I can't blame 'em. AK gear is fuuuuuugly. There's a reason I've stuck to my AF robe while gathering up myth tomes. I've no desire to look like I'm level 15 again!

Yeah I hear you with the "creepy cultist" caster AK gear. The tank version on the other hand is my favorite lvl 50 set for tanks so far. Looks a heck of a lot better than the DL/DS trashcans, which are not only fulgy but ironically would be more useless in combat than the infamous "battle bikinis" in real life.

I wish AK and DL gear for tanks would switch places =/ the gear design for tanks is much better than DL. The trashcan is also the #1 reason why most career tanks opt for their Myth body first.

I'm not very far gear wise as df groups have little tolerance for poor inexperienced players like me. So I had a Darksteel armor made to help me in dungeons as I only have DL earings. And it is ugly, extremely ugly, but that's not the point. When I was in the service we had work uniforms (ie DL or DS), and a fancy dress uniform (AF). Wearing your dress uniform while working is insane.

You said you skipped WHM DL chest for WHM AF2, which I will agree it does look better. The issue I have with that is, I aim for whats best in slot and everyone I play with does the same thing. I bought AF2 chest because I can get loot from Coil like gloves, feet, rings, etc. The gear I can't farm from 1 & 2 I will be buying with Myth. Chest drops from Turn 4 in coil, so I can't farm it just yet. In my mind though, if you don't gear up correctly you are hurting the group. I aim to win and down things as quick as possible. I'm also a big theory craftier, so seeing people gear up the wrong way, makes my head spin.

My drg has full DL. You said I hurt my group by skipping whm DL for relic whm gear. Since I was on drg when I got the tomes I'm still unclear how I hurt the group. After all I was properly geared to your standards.

I've been laughing at this thread for a while now and can't believe people hinder themselves for such a stupid reason. SE could of solved this if they would of put vanity slots in at launch like they should of had in the first place. So this is pretty much all SE fault.
