What is the "recommended" gear to enter each Turn of Binding Coil of Bahamut?

No offense but AK =/= Coil. If someone tells you you can't do AK without 5+ DL pieces you can safely ignore their advice from that point on.

You will probably need better gear on T2, but with a good group u can finish T1 with your actual gear.

Think that everyone is going with that gear, tank healers and DDs with 2-3DL and rest AK. After you picture that, think if you have a chance to even pass ADS. If your answer is no then you should get better gear.

I started coil as 4 DL gear, AK chest/head, 4 DL jewelery, 1 AK jewelery. And ofc I had my Relic, who wouldnt since you have to go through Titan to get to coil. It went totally fine, we all worked togeather well so I think if your group is good then you can lower your gear expectations a little.

Just keep farming AK. Get those elusive Strategos pieces like the Ring. (Took me 40+ runs for one ring to drop lol)

I got the Ring on my 2nd run. I also got the Boots and the Necklace. My hat, pants and gloves are the Warlock pieces.

If you're not bothered being the carried surplus, then by all means, go with what you have.

Personally, I don't like being one, hence I gear myself as best as I can in the current content. It's one way of paying respect to the other 7 members who went through hard work just to get what they have.

If running with folks you don't know / shouts, it may be recommended to have:
Relic Weapon
Darklight Body, Hands, Waist, Legs, and Feet
iLevel 55+ HQ accessories

Building bonds with folks, making allies on the same server, and within the Free Company will loosen these recommendations, though the Relic Weapon is one thing I would not budge on as a healer.

The Turn 1 mini-boss ADS is the party synergy check.

If your tanks cannot keep enmity, they need better tactics, better gear, or both.
If healer cannot keep tank topped off even when boss is using a channeled AoE, healer may need tactics adjustment/better gear.
If DPS cannot finish boss before final charge/tick, then DPS needs adjustment in tactics/gear.

And the better gear, at least for the beginning turns, allows for less optimal tactics (looser gameplay) where reduced gear will require more sphincter tight skills.

Coil was designed to be completed by players in ilvl80-90 gear. So that means a relic weapon, at minimum.

Shout groups often have requirements for ilvl70+ and relic because that is actually below the minimum recommended set-up for Coil. Groups still clear Coil (at least Turns 1 and 2) because they can make up for that equipment deficiency with skill and strategy.

To be honest, it's not exactly fair to criticize groups for having even more stringent requirements than "full DL and relic", especially if they are taking the risk of shouting and picking up unexperienced/unskilled players. It was intended for players to wait for Crystal Tower to come out and fill gaps in equipment, and for only the most well-prepared groups (with +1 relics and bits of AF2) to take on Coil.

TL,DR: ilvl 70+ and relic is below the minimum recommended set-up for Coil, don't complain. Farm up those tomes and read about the fights.

Where did you get that info? I've seen nothing stating that in any of the Producer Letter. Getting new content that has lesser drop than Vanilla doesn't make any sense. Why would we go in Crystal Tower when Coil is what we aim for? Especially since Crystal Tower is a lot more intense on getting a group together. (24 people)

You've obviously didn't read the title of the thread nor any of the posts in there. We aren't criticizing what is required to go in there. If you read at least the title (obviously you didn't), I was asking what is the recommended items to go in there.

Just keep running AK for the rest then. Full Strategos gives you 3.2k+ HP in a group, thats when I cleared Titan (ofc he can be done with a bit less, people are just too lazy to take anyone not in full DL these days) and got my Omnilex. (SCH Relic)

You can slowly replace Strategos with DL if it suits you, maybe prioritize anything with crit/whatever you need most on it.
