Titan Tanking AK Runs

Have any of you SMNs out there done AK using Titan as tank? I want to know how you went about doing it. I just completed it, took about 30 minutes give or take, minimal deaths from members, was ky first time attempting it. On single target fights, Titan rarely, if ever, lost aggro. On multiple mobs fight it took about 2 of his AOEs move to establish hate on all targets. The hardest thing I faced was pulling, even after I sent titan pull, all initial hate went on me until I used his AOE move. You guys have suggestions on this? Our setup was 2 Brds 1 Whm and myself, all members had relic, whm had +1.

Could you pull, swift/tri after initial aoe to buy time while you focus on primary? Bards can also shadow bind any targets.

If I ever use Titan as tank I always run in myself as well. Not sure if it is a bug or working as intended but our pets will always agro and the hate goes to use instead. I find it lots easier just to run in myself and take a few hits before his first AoE.

Damn, I did not think about tri as a pulling method. I can start with tri-> obey-> AOE move to prevent mobs from chasing me. Great idea, keep em coming!

Thats how I was doing it, I'm trying to avoid that going forward. Another issue we ran into was the healer(gamepad user) was having hard time targetting titan due to it not showing up on party list.

Can't the WHM just use the <tt> macro in reverse? Target a mob and <tt> to Titan.

I'm not too familiar with the <tt> macro, is that target's target?

Yup, but I don't know how exactly it applies to the situation still have not messed with it.

Hmm i run quite a few experimental team compositions like 3DD/1Heal or even 4DD. From my experience the Titan egi can not hold hate well against a dedicated DD and i have had more success in letting Dragoons tank bosses. That being said titan egi was essential when we did a 4DD run of WP, because after swapping hate we would let titan egi sacrifice himself to grudge, to give us more time to burn the boss.

Question though, is there any significant improvement at all? I mean bringing 3 DPS + 1 Healer instead of the usual 1-1-2 lineup for AK / WP? Coz if none, I don't see any point doing this aside from the bragging rights or self satisfaction.
