That's true. I don't usually stick around long. Maybe just 3-6 seconds. Most I've seen someone there was like 1 minute. He finally got raised.
I've also noticed that people who ask nicely in /shout with a <pos> generally get a raise. Just saying.
I used to go out of my way to raise people but I got sick of people releasing while I'm casting Resurrection or not even bothering with a simple "thank you." I still raise people if I'm not busy but if I'm going somewhere I usually don't bother stopping to help anymore.
Hey, you can't ask me for a raise, you're dead! Stop ruining my immersion!
seen healer watch person die , /clap walk up to corpse then /laugh and run off , they should be banned for that
I use to swap classes and raise (or better yet, just cross class raise and use that).. however I found that 99% of the time either the individual was afk, or they released right as I started to cast (maybe it's cause I'm in PLD gear *shrug*)... all in all I will admit that I've stopped dismounting and the like to raise cause it just seemed like wasted time to me.
I love being able to raise, so I always do it if I see someone that needs it and no one else is already raising them. The only thing that bugs me is when people rush right back into fighting while still under the Weakness debuff and just die again.
For myself, though, if I die I usually just homepoint unless I'm partied up with someone who can raise me.
