Ok, I normally don't respond to these threads, but this is a bit ridiculous. I'd like to offer a few tips, a mini-strategy I suppose, to the OP(who has hopefully gotten their drop by now) or anyone else working on this slightly overrated sword.

    1. Get a tank who has AOE tanking abilities(which is not actually a necessity surprisingly) and a healer, 2 if you want to be extra cautious I guess.
    2. Take out the bouncers one at a time, they should die very quickly.
    3. Generally, I like to take out one brag before putting pressure on the arm, this prevents 3 bombs at once, since most melee can live through 2 of them, but 3 can send you back to the node.
    4. Depending on your setup, either take out the last brag or just start working on his arm using barrage, moonrise II, and even riot blade(a bit slow but effective nonetheless). Make SURE your battle log says you are hitting him from the right. The NM has plenty of HP, so don't feel pressure if he's taking damage from other sources too.
    5. Once it's incapacitated, I think the rest writes itself.

Please note, this is not the "best" way, the "right" way, the "coolest" way, or whatever you'd like to say. It's just a pseudo-practical way, which has plenty of room for improvement and customization.

The reason I felt I needed to write this was because pigeonholing THMs as the only class that can tank this NM, and ARCs as the only class who can break the arm is absurd, as is bringing an army of healers. This demeans other classes that can be very useful in ANY fight. I can already envision people looking at this last strategy and saying "Nope, you're not an ARC, CON, or THM, so you go do leves or something while we fight." There are a multitude of strategies to get this sword, breaking the arm is the only bottleneck, and to tell the truth it's not that big of a wall to climb.

Just make sure you are hitting the arm correctly and you should be fine. Find a strategy that works for you. We've been looking at a drop rate of about 10% or so, but I'm sure this varies with other linkshells. Good luck on drop if you haven't gotten it yet, and to anyone else who wants this semi-decent item.

Edit: Holy crap that was longer than I meant it to be. Sorry for the textwall!
