True enough given enough gear you could burn though them easily. But with binding you outgeared the fights in ilvl 70 gear, by SE's own admission, that's two tiers of gear below being fully outfitted in coil item gear. That's a problem.

You're both right here. BC ultimately will always end up as farming material -- that's how MMOs work with stat progression. However, BC is easier than was intended -- it wasn't meant to be on farm before ilvl90 overgear. If you really want to know how it was intended, try running it with 2 Warriors -- that's the challenge level SE intended players to face. They just made PLD too strong along the way (and probably WAR too weak as well, lol).

Yoshi-P directly stated in the last Live Letter that PLD was not intended to survive as it has. From Reinhart's translation:
