I call it rushing because you are skipping a huge step in a quest so you can get in to end game before your time.

If the "right" way to play the game is leveling all jobs and professions so you can do everything on your own why do we even have the possibility to interact/trade/request melding to other players?

Because to each his own, someone likes to play everything, someone else likes to specialize, and your way isnt inherently better than mine.

I didnt "skip" content just because i didnt level every freaking DOH and DOL... i leveled WAR, PLD and cooking to 50 and im fine with it, because you know, i like to tank, and not much to craft, and it shouldnt be a problem.

I wouldn't call getting someone to craft your relic "skipping content". Its actually nice that crafting has a place for getting your relic, and that it has a place in the economy. Wish more stuff was like that.

Though on the other hand, that doesn't excuse people ignoring content (crafting, gathering, etc) and then complaining that there is no content in the game.

I came from 1.0 and in 2.0 finished the last few jobs to cap, working on 8/9 relics, doing coil, but in the end after lockout all there is to do is ak or wp. Open world mobs dont pose a challenge or even a threat, dungeons are boring due to it being the same everytime you enter.

The 2.1 will only bring a couple new things and if you did ifrit extreme in 1.0 than well the extreme fights in 2.0 are no different. 2.1 will mainly show case extreme modes that have basicly been recycled from 1.0 other than garuda and titan (which if you did ifrit extreme in 1.0 its basicly the same s@#$). So 2.1 we get FC housing we get 1 completely new dungeon maybe 2 and a bunch of dailies as well as a few other things, dosent sound like much is gonna change come 2.1.

Yes i do AK as being in AUS means unless i wana login at a ridiculous time , most of my FC work and I cant do Coil. It needs to be put in the Duty Finder. Not waking up at 3am to run Coil. This game im sorry but isnt that fun ill dedicate 3am gameplay for that

Sounds like you have plenty of content to do in the area of making some friends that play at the same hours you do. Seriously, if this is your complaint that it's too hard to find a group to do content, so that content might as well not exist as being in the game, I'm sorry but you're probably right that this game is not for you. Maybe look into getting a single player game where you can play everything on your own schedule.

Content is boring, buggy, and nothing but a new dungeon and FC housing and lol pvp with 2.1 Might see what 2.2 has to offer, but not impressed so far.

Endgame is there, you just don't like it because it's limited.

Hard to really participate in a conversation that's started on such absolute terms, however.

I'm set until April, subscription wise. No regret or buyer's remorse. There's enough in the sheer enviroment alone to keep me wanting to log in. I knew endgame would be sparse in the beginning months so I'm choosing not to do it. I've plenty of characters to level multiple classes on, plenty of player content to enjoy. I always find it odd that dedicated endgame players, especially veterans, approach a game within its first year and complain about the lack of variety in endgame content. It took two for FFXI to really catch its speed, and I did not regret avoiding endgame there in the beginning either.

You've been handed a virtual playground, go play around in it a while and stop trying to walk a single linear path.

I unsubbed like a couple of days after the renewal for the month. I might resub if they add new jobs just because I am such a FF fanboi but considering EQN and/or Titan, which are most likely the new generation of MMOs, will probably be out by then and I doubt it. I am just can't handle any more of the same old "play for a month and then wait for the next patch" games that I've played and gotten bored of too many times before.

Don't get me wrong though, aside from the issue that it feels a lot worse than a game from 2004 in terms of responsiveness, ARR is a good game imo and will probably do well in the longrun too. It is just not what I want anymore, the concepts worked well when they were new (and several more well made than in ARR), but as I've played them for a long time in several games I've grown bored. Imo ARR has tried so much to not fail, that it can't become great if you put it in perspective of games at the end of 2013 and forward.

Glad a lot of people enjoy it though.
