I understand how you feel Starlord.
Many people feel they're just protecting themselves from disappointment. But that won't work. I've been down that road before and all it does is create distress and depression with the people working for me and in the end, the whole project fell apart.

You need to encourage good behavior, not just punish bad (or in this case, just underwhelming) behavior.

Lets hope they are getting paychecks to make them feel good about themselves.

There's more to feeling good about yourself at work than just getting money.

That's why we need to be Positive and put out those great ideas we have without trolling, so FFXIV Doesn't Fall apart thats the last thing I or several other people want is for FFXIV to die.

A Kid that Cries alot and wants this and that Generally doesn't get his way in that case its Discipline.

in FFXIV case, its You cant have Every idea in the game. Do you know how long that would take? Most people on here are impatient little kids the cry if a patch wasn't up to there expectations. Yes their will be disappointing times rest assured. But the new Dev is being taken places by Tanaka's Team which had Several Years in development, as to Yoshi-P's Team that bare even dented that much time.

He just got on the friggen ship, Can he at least Guide us to a Better future?

Things take time, Its easy for players to sit back and say, Hey I can do better than them! but in reality if your Behind SE chair's Programming Writing up a 30 page friggen code for a Video Game.. I say that pretty hard stuff.. and saying it's easy? hmm..

I agree with the sentiment, but I don't think it's a realistic goal for an American (predominantly) forum.

I think there is a cultural difference first of all.
Americans feel entitled. They also tend to play the victim a lot.

Square Enix is wronging us! We paid good money for this game (last year)! We deserve more!

I think we do deserve more communication, more answers, more reasons "why" and less vague ideas without deadlines. As far as actual game updates and content are concerned, though, we should all know by now that everything is on hold until the battle system so the wait should be obvious, lacking patches should be obvious.

It's as if people are oblivious to things they've clearly been told around here, and confuse those things with things that have been talked about vaguely. I mean, some people I know actually thought precursory Job Quests were about to implement today - and that isn't even something they mentioned in passing or vaguely about doing ("precursory" part, I mean). I don't quite understand why people expect more than they are told around here.

Is it agreeing with everything that being done even if thats not how u truly feel?
I rather have peoples honest opinions if u like something say it and if u dont say it and why, they are trying to please the ppl that they want to pay money for a product, so i would assume they need to know what the fans need to be happy with that product, honest feedback.

I couldnt respect anyone that has no passion to speak what is truly on there minds.
I would encourage honesty and respect that far more then some one thats ungenuine.

Also I agree in the thought that we wont see any info about 1.18 until like the last week in june because it wont be this game saving patch that everyone is hoping for......
I think we all know that, also they said june but even that isnt concrete it will probably get changed at the last minute..

I have come to expect that when it comes to this game's developement, If there is something or some way you can be dissappoint count on it happening its a bad habit they have gotten into, not a good look SE.

Yes your right, but this is 2011 and that was 2002.

This is 2011, we've had world problems, including major wars since the dawn of time really. It's 2011, we shouldn't have issues still. It's 2011, why does my car still have occasional mechanical troubles? This is 2011, where's my hovercars? This is 2011, where's my floating cities or cities ala Jetsons style?

The year vs year doesn't matter because the real world alone proves this is a false statement to make. It's not an excuse, it's just how their MMOs were at the start. They heavily improve overtime (and no content will not improve FFXIV like it did with and FFXI since it has more problems than lack of content.)

You can tell a big difference between XI's release and XIV's release and which game got rushed out.
